"Asking too much of you?" Ezekiel frowned and Hazel slowly nodded, her expression neutral. "Yes."
Ezekiel wanted to probe for more answer but she had already kept quiet to herself, leaving him guessing for nothing.
It was a stilled silence between them, with Hazel looking around in the room at everywhere but him, and the whole time, he has his gaze on her.
A gaze that made Hazel's skin burned, and she feared that she might react on impulse if he kept looking at like that.
"Hm, I think it already stopped raining, time to go home."
"Why don't you stay here for the day anyway? It's late already."
"Late?" Hazel raised an eyebrow, not knowing what he meant by that statement.
"Uh, it's almost 8 PM".
"8–8 PM?, Hazel repeated with Disbelief, then a skeptical look came to her face as if she was pondering about something, she shot him a skeptical look. "Are you sure? You aren't kidding, right?"
