"What are you thinking about?" Jayden glanced at her, his voice snapping her out of her thoughts. It came at just the right moment, when she was lost in the darkness of her mind, like a flute played by an angel and brought along the light she was desperate of.
"I'm thinking about what to play," she replied softly, smiling while masking her true thoughts behind a lie.
Jayden's gaze deepened, and then he said softly, "Snorkeling, shall we?"
Leila paused at his suggestion, a thoughtful expression on her face and she said truthfully. "I've never tried that before."
"Then let me be your guide," Jayden nodded with assurance, stretching out his hand. Leila placed her palm in his.
"Sure, but you've got to protect me!" Leila smiled. She was more than happy to try snorkeling for the first time with her boyfriend.
She didn't forget to wave at Aditi, who waved back with a grin, showing she understood exactly what Leila trying to pass across.
