The jet touched down in Hawaii after six hours of flight. The sun hung gloriously in the sky, casting a warm, reddish hue over the island, as if it had been painted just for them. The sight was enough to wake everyone up, refreshed after their long nap during the flight. The energy in the air was infectious, like summer itself was welcoming them.
Leila's grandparents had a beautiful villa here, a place where they would spend the holidays. But first, they had to unpack and settle in.
The villa was enormous, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed sunlight to flood every corner. The transparent glass gave an unobstructed view of the beautiful island and right next to Leila's room, there was a shimmering swimming pool.
"Shall we swim first?" Aditi burst into Leila's room, she was done unpacking and was visibly excited with that wide smile plastered on her face.
Leila waved her over, crouched before her own bag. "Help me unpack, please."
