The study was huge and dark, the air thick with tension.
Gloria wheeled herself to the window, pulling it open to take in the beautiful night. Insects were chirping, and the outside was filled with lush greenery. The fake mountain rose like a titan, it's artificial peak reaching for the stars, the whole surrounding simply scream of luxury.
However, the peaceful nature did nothing to calm her down. Instead, she felt scared—scared of what she might discover. Her hand clenched tightly as she closed her eyes, but all she could see was Eve's hatred-filled face and jed words kept repeating over and over in her head like a broken record.
