"I hope you like your birthday gift," Gloria said, handing Leila a thin folder.
Leila hesitated before taking it, blinking as she slowly pulled out the papers inside. Her eyes landed on the large title displayed:
Transfer of Ownership.
Her eyes widened as she skimmed through the key points, her heart racing when she realized it was a transfer of ownership for the famous five-star Sapphire Hotel.
"I..." She found it hard to believe, shaking her head as she placed the document back into the folder. "This is too much, Gloria. I mean, this is a reputable hotel. I can't accept it."
Gloria chuckled, covering Leila's hand with hers, her eyes warm and loving. "Take it, dear. It's yours."
