Chapter 215 - [DD]: 215

The two hands met briefly in mid-air before quickly parting.

Han Li's gaze lingered on Xiao Wu, who stood beside Tang San as if he had sensed the nature of their relationship. However, he showed no intention of shaking her hand, displaying a sense of tact.

"Well then, I won't disturb you any further. Good luck in the competition."

With a friendly nod, Han Li and Xue Qinghe turned and left, heading towards the location of Heaven Dou Team One. It seemed they had only come over to exchange pleasantries and go through the motions.

After greeting Yu Tianheng, who was looking at Han Li with a somewhat complicated expression, Han Li and Xue Qinghe left Hu Liena in the hall and returned to their previous seats.

"She's observing Tang San."

This time, before Han Li could speak, Qian Renxue spoke with conviction.

Han Li nodded, looking at her long enough to make her feel uneasy.

"What is it? Is something wrong?"

Qian Renxue touched her cheek, not sensing anything out of the ordinary. However, Han Li's gaze was unsettling.

Ah, that's right. She still doesn't know Tang San's true identity. Han Li had only just realized this, which explained the odd feeling he'd had earlier.

"Tang San is Tang Hao's son."

Silently, Han Li activated his Deathgod Domain, enveloping both of them.

Qian Renxue was completely in the dark, but it was already too late for Han Li to keep it from her. While he couldn't interfere with Bibi Dong's affairs for now, this was something he needed to tell her in advance. Qian Renxue's behavior had already changed quite a bit under his influence, and he wasn't sure if she might act irrationally if she heard the news from someone else later.

"What? He's Tang Hao's son?"

Qian Renxue shot to her feet, and her killing intent surged toward Tang San, who was in the arena. However, Han Li's domain firmly contained her aura. To outsiders, it still looked like the two of them were sitting at the table, chatting and laughing peacefully.

"Yes, that's right."

Han Li calmly poured her a glass of water and handed it to her.

Qian Renxue took the cup, downed the water in one gulp, and sat back down, though she still radiated murderous intent.

"You knew about this all along?"

Qian Renxue glanced at Han Li, recalling that he had asked her about Tang San's background quite some time ago.

"You could say that."

Han Li didn't deny it, only nodded.

Qian Renxue wanted to shout and demand why he hadn't told her earlier, but seeing Han Li's calm demeanor, she suppressed her emotions. There must have been a reason why he waited until now to tell her.

"So, I should go see my grandfather as soon as possible, right?"

Qian Renxue calmed down, recalling the first question Han Li had asked her when they met.

Han Li nodded as expected. One of the reasons he had come was to urge Qian Renxue to hurry and visit Qian Daoliu.

The two of them, grandparent and grandchild, were notorious for their lack of urgency. Even after returning to Wuhun City, they still dawdled. Han Li had no choice but to manually speed things up.

With the pendant he had given Qian Renxue, a simple disguise was as easy as pie. Even if Xue Qinghe left now, no one would notice. There was no need to drag things out until the end.

"I understand. I'll go tonight," Qian Renxue responded decisively.

This guy was frustrating. For some things, he always liked to go in circles when he could have just said it directly.

"So, she sent that woman here in advance to…"

Qian Renxue glanced at Hu Liena, who was still occasionally casting glances at Tang San, muttering to herself.

Naturally, she didn't get any response from Han Li.

Han Li had heard her, but he didn't know how to respond. He even felt a bit sorry for Qian Renxue. If his guess was correct, the little angel was truly in for a tragedy.

"You know where I live. Feel free to come by anytime if you need someone to talk to."

Han Li's voice, a little out of place, drifted into Qian Renxue's ears.

"Oh, okay," Qian Renxue replied, momentarily stunned but still nodded.

"Well, I'm heading back now."

Han Li withdrew his domain. Qian Renxue's violent outburst had already subsided, so there was no need for him to keep restraining her.

Qian Renxue took a deep breath and once again became the elegant Crown Prince of Heaven Dou, escorting them out. However, throughout the process, she never glanced in the direction of Team Two.

With Ning Rongrong volunteering, their group headed to where the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan was located.

The two parties exchanged polite conversation for a while. Throughout the entire process, Ning Fengzhi acted as if he didn't even see Liu Erlong and Hu Liena, creating a rather harmonious atmosphere.

Once they left the camp, Han Li dismissed Hu Liena, telling her to return to where she came from. As for Liu Erlong, since they were heading in the same direction, she silently followed behind them.

When he arrived home, Han Li greeted a few of the women and then returned to his room.

The appearance of Hu Liena made it necessary for him to confirm the situation on Bibi Dong's side.

In his mental space, Han Li observed the conversation between master and disciple from a god's-eye view. After Hu Liena left, he continued monitoring Bibi Dong for a while. It wasn't until he heard her monologue that he returned to reality.

He remained silent for a moment, feeling that his mind had been somewhat tainted.

After hearing Bibi Dong's murmuring when she was alone, Han Li found it hard to keep his composure. Although he knew she might not carry out what she said, it still revealed her attitude.

In Bibi Dong's mind, she completely ignored the fact that Tang San was Tang Hao's son and instead saw him as Yu Xiaogang's son. Han Li's guess was correct: she had become so twisted that she transferred some of her feelings for Yu Xiaogang onto Tang San.

She bore no grudge against Tang Hao and his son. In fact, in a certain sense, Tang Hao could even be considered her benefactor. Without Tang Hao, it wouldn't have been so easy for her to kill Qian Xunji back then.

But now, as the Pope of the Spirit Hall, is she not even bothering to maintain appearances anymore?

And if Xiao Wu didn't exist, would she have gone as far as to send Hu Liena to Tang San to make up for the regret of the past?

Of course, not all of this came from her murmurings. Some of it was Han Li's reasonable speculation based on Hu Liena's actions and Bibi Dong's attitude. But it still sent a shiver down his spine.

Fortunately, Han Li had already made all the necessary preparations. Bibi Dong was destined to face a tragedy.

Pushing these thoughts aside, Han Li thought for a moment, called in a maid, gave her some instructions, and walked toward the living room.

At midnight, Han Li unusually did not enter his cultivation state. Instead, he left his door open and sat at a table filled with fine wine.

He was waiting for someone.

Hmm, if nothing went wrong, she should be arriving soon.

A golden streak of light, without any attempt at concealment, descended rapidly from the sky, landing directly in Han Li's courtyard.

In the surrounding courtyards, several auras flared up suddenly, but after recognizing the owner of the golden streak, they quickly settled down.

Qian Renxue's gaze was somewhat numb as she stared at the open door in front of her and walked inside in a daze.

Han Li didn't say anything. He opened a jar of wine with his hand, and the rich fruity aroma immediately filled the room. Using his soul power, he floated the jar toward Qian Renxue.

She looked at the wine jar floating in front of her, took it with her right hand, and without hesitation, tilted her head back and drank.

Amber-colored wine trickled from the corner of her mouth, running down her snow-white neck, soaking her golden palace dress, with some of it spilling onto the floor.

She casually threw the jar to the ground, producing a crisp sound. However, in the quiet night, the sound did not escape the room, as Han Li had already created a barrier.

Neither of them spoke. One kept opening jars of wine, while the other numbly poured it into her mouth.

After four jars, Qian Renxue choked a little but continued without caring.

Han Li didn't stop her. All the wine here had been specially selected by him. Though the aroma was strong, even if Qian Renxue drank the entire table's worth of wine, she wouldn't get drunk.

Once again, Qian Renxue threw the wine jar to the floor, and her golden hair stuck to the side of her face.

She glanced at Han Li, then at the still fully stocked table beside him, before walking over, picking up one of the jars, and throwing it at Han Li.

Han Li caught the jar and mimicked her actions. Qian Renxue didn't refuse, sitting down across from him and continuing what she had been doing before.

No one spoke. The room was filled only with the sound of jars breaking and the two of them gulping down the wine. It wasn't until one-third of the jars had been emptied that Qian Renxue finally stopped.

"I want stronger liquor."

Her face was slightly flushed, and after all this drinking, that was the only visible sign.

Even though she had drunk so much, all she could smell was the scent of the wine, yet she remained perfectly sober.

"This wine has a strong aftereffect. You're already drunk," Han Li replied, his expression unchanged, though his face was also slightly flushed.

Whether as Qian Renxue or Xue Qinghe, she never needed to get drunk. At social engagements, she would only sip lightly, and she could even use her soul power to expel the alcohol.

But Qian Renxue had seen drunk people before, so she knew the man in front of her was lying, but she didn't want to think about it. If he said she was drunk, then she was.

She would just pretend to be drunk.

Qian Renxue opened another jar of wine, but unlike before, she didn't immediately gulp it down. Instead, she took a small sip from the jar.

She placed the jar back on the table, her face no longer obscured. Her expression carried a hint of stubbornness, but two silent tears fell down her cheeks.

Han Li sighed, took another gulp from the jar in front of him, and continued to drink with her. The old man in the sky was starting to get on his nerves.

Qian Renxue didn't say anything. Every time her gaze stopped being empty, she would take another gulp from the jar, look at Han Li across from her, watch him drink, and then her thoughts would drift off to who knows where.
