These two weren't a challenge.
Their martial arts were good, but they could do nothing against the speed and precision of my attacks. Neither they had abilities that could harm the Union enough to kill it.
In minutes, they were blood on my sword. I patted their bags and pockets for useful items, but my heart wasn't in it.
Instead of letting the Union eat them, I buried their bodies and satisfied the disgruntled beast with some snacks. Then I sighed, patting its heads.
"These two were idiots that died for nothing, but if I was their boss, I'd love having subordinates like them. At least, as long as they stayed alive." I chuckled. "Maybe after reaching the Golden Core I could learn how to bind other people's souls to their bodies to bring them back from death, like Elder Lin Kwan. But that's an imperfect solution, and these two are definitely gone by now."
I stood up and looked into the forest that surrounded Guying's cave.
