Public engagement
The proposal wasn't public; not a grand gesture, but it did it for me, something special and private for us. I was all over the moon. I was away for a week and the man couldn't take it he had to fly over and propose, damn I love him. Of course I said yes without a doubt. I know it is rushed but I love him, he loves me, there is nothing standing between us, just pure love and why not just be together.
When we came back from the well-deserved vacation, news of us had spread. My event and socials didn't do us any good. It was time to come out to the public. What they didn't know we were engaged. I know it was fast but Rahim, felt right and him, proposing meant a lot to me. He was ready for me and so was I.
This is what I wanted, looking for and I was all over the moon. When I told my folks, they were surprised saying it was too soon, but as Salma said, if you know you know, you feel it in your bones and heart it is right.
