He stands there one hand in his pocket, glares at me, then turns his back, and goes back to the office.
I release a breath I didn't know I was holding. That went well. If I had my coat, I would probably have left Walking out seemed more exciting than being in this mansion. I have to look for the girls and avoid meeting unwanted persons whom I don't like, and that is trouble.
Up the stairs to the east wing, I enter the girls' common area, without a hitch. Maybe hanging out with young, innocent souls will be good for me. As much as they were twins, these two are different people; one is a geek, the other a fashionista.
I knock before I enter to announce my arrival; Mia was seated on her computer, doing, Lord knows what and Tia was nowhere in sight.
"Hey, princess."
She had headphones on and probably didn't hear me.
