Girlfriends and Sisters
It was a Wednesday and I had a few appointments to attend to. I was having lunch with some of my lady friends, catch up a bit, then meet my sisters in law for a little shopping for the event on Friday. We had to go in style. Despite having a ready attire for the occasion, shopping more didn't do any harm, it was an opportunity to chat with the girls without their husbands being around and mother giving them side glances.
It has been a minute since I saw the girls. These are the friends I made in my cooperate world, even though they know nothing about me, they know enough to be my friends
The last time they bailed on me, I got kidnapped by Rahim's men though I managed to get out of their clutches unharmed; I now share a bed with the said man, a lot has changed in that short span of time.
