Adam looked down at the Copper in the Storehouse. He wasn't always the most diligent student but even he heard in school about the beginning of humanity and the age they called the Copper and Bronze Age. Because there where no trees and thus no woods around, Adam didn't think about easy Metals to smelt down, he simply forgot that copper was a thing while thinking about Smithing and Tools. How much pain he would had spared by useing copper and bronze.
The Deep groan of realisation and Years of wasted time was like a vaile lifting from his mind. Was he an idiot? was he asking himself. He thaughts piercing every action he took the last two years. Thought not all time was wasted. If Adam had used the Copper he couldn't use it for working near the lava since it's low melting temperature would make them to soft for reliable use.
So Adam took his eyes off the Copper and just took it. Now he was aware of things he could use it in his experimentations. He needed a better way to transport the water up the tower and needed to make some tests for pipes as medium. Thou it took Adam 7 Years since he arrived by the lake, he wasn't by far not a master builder. Sure, brick and "mortar" he used where great material but they still crumbled regularly.
Adam also knew that the sludge he used as mortar was great as temporary sealing materials but that they would erode away with the next rainfall like mud. Maybe he could combine the Test and make a kind of Waterfall so that he could test what worked best? And now that he Could cut Stone he, Adam could start masonry for other projects. Weigh training, building or Base makeing.
Wanting to write down his thoughts Adam opend his status and opened the interface.

Adam began writing in his log. Documenting his Idears separately, seeing the note he made two years ago about 'Lightning proof EVERYTHING' and makeing note of it since he had now the capacity to do so. Seeing himself makeing Iron rods for the foreseeable future.
Takeing stocks of the minerals and Jars full of different Acids or solutions in the Wherehous, Adam decided that today was enough and took a brake. Deciding on a walk along the lake. Adam began to wonder. He rememberd that a asteroid recently struck the lake area and and now that the it was probably save adam took the walk to the closest coast, by the size of the lake. The Water levels had go down over the years but only by some Centimetres. But it was enough time that the geothermal vents in the lake already made impressive lakes inside the lake. Some of them even spawning, Adam could describe as, organic and acidic sludge. He had already a wide selection of those in closed jars inside of the storehouse. Intending to either cook them down or to do what ever he fancied.
Seeing a sort of film floating on the water adam came closer. Could it be already be some kind of organic life? He asked himself but when Adam to the fill out of the water adam was stunned. Was this not like wet nylon in his hands? It was thin and cloudy and had an unmistakable touch to it.
Adam looked around and warted through the flat water. After minutes of movement he found another piece Adam took it. So not a fluke. Suddenly Adam was in hurry! Nylon was a polymer that could solve a lot of problems for him. For example clothing. Adam had never dreamed of that there was a natural source of it in this lake somewhere. For hours Adam looked and gathered evey scrap of it he could find. Coming across more of it the futher he got. With some pieces as long as half a meter at times. Adam was strangely Happy.
Soon he found a place near then hydrothermal vents there was one of the lakes overlapping with one another. Adam saw when one of the Gysirs sprayed water in the air filling the most top lake with more water letting it overflow in the Second where they formed a film which was slow being pulled down by the water of the second lake. makeing the film just float there, slowly dissolving in the acid again.
Forgotten was the plan for the near future! Adam needed to gather the two compounds from thouse smaller lakes befor there was nothing left. Sure there where thousends of liter in them, Adam was in need of them. So written up had Adam the chance of clothes that now that there was a realistic change of it made him loose all composure. If someone was there they would seen a man coverd in dust and sut makeing noises of pure delight. A sight very humorous if you know nothing about this situation. And someone could interpret the Gysirss giggling of the giggle of a little girl who saw something hilarious.
Adam came back to base camp and started Gathering stuff befor he came to an hold. A noise he heard made him hald. Because he swore that he heard the roar of a large beast in the distance. A noise he didn't hear in all his years here on the planet. Adam looked around but saw nothing around not on the ground or the skym nothing, out of the ordinary. Thinking that he misheard Adam continued. But the reality was that he had indeed heard something.
In the distance a Beast, not from this world roared in anger! It had lost something around two milleniar ago and when it was about to leave it suddenly heard a giggle of the planet, like it was mocking him because he was giving up so fast! No it wouldn't tolerate that! Its Huge body rising in the weak atmosphere seeping in silent anger.
