Chapter 1 - A world to live in

A deceased deer was laying on the ground, with its stomach ripped open while insects are feasting on it, and its blood has leaked through its surrounding grass. seeing this sight, a young girl was gazing at this unfortunate animal. her eyes focused on its corpse, seemingly lost in her own perception but showed no emotions. she had a quite interested look in her eyes as she proceeded to stare at this deceased creature however she showed no smile, completely expressionless throughout the entire time. other children behind her were being disturbed by the smell and from what they were seeing, covering their noses and closing their eyes in order to avoid both the sight and smell, yet one child was not bothered at all. (the young girl who was mentioned earlier) in fact she seemed interested from it.

"what's going on here?!" said by the approaching care taker.

"what did you guys do now-" her words were cut short when she finally got close to the commotion, her eyes widened and she gagged witnessing the lifeless creature and smelling its decomposing corpse.

"kids, we should not be letting this, thing stay here for much longer! It'll decay and cause more disturbance to this orphanage!, call the local communities and let them take care of, this, thing right away. all of you, get away from that"

After the care taker's words the children began to walk away, following the direction of their care taker inside the orphanage. while they were going back inside the house, the young girl who seemed interested was left by herself. while they moved on from horrific sight, she was still gazing at it. Her eyes still focused, and she slowly, stretched her left arm to the animal's body, and everything that the young girl was hearing got louder and louder every time her arm got closed to it, and before she could touch it....

Everything went blank in her mind.

Chapter 1 - Ashika Nyx the child of unknown

A few days has passed after the disposal of the deceased animal. the children are now back at their usual state. having fun, smiling, laughing, and talking to each other like they are already their own family. But one particular person was doing the opposite, they were even doing nothing, but sit on the swing and stare into the abyss.

one was running around but stopped on his track when he saw the little girl being alone again on the swing. he asked a caretaker about it, while pointing at the girl

"ma'am Amy why is ashika being like that again? does she have a problem?"

the care taker looks at ashika who's currently on the swing and wiggling her legs slightly. "oh, maybe she just wants to be alone? not everyone is sad when they wanna be left alone, maybe she likes it and she finds peace with it! we all have our interests so hers is probably diffrent that all of you guys" she replied to the kid. after being answered by the care taker amy, the boy walks away and proceeded to play with his friends. meanwhile the care taker amy had a worried face while looking at ashika, thus engaging her to approach her.

When she approached Ashika, she sat down by the other swing next to the young girl.

Care taker amy: "Ashika are you aright? you seem to have a problem is there something you wanna talk about?" she said to ashika with a smile. for a few moment ashika said nothing and kept her head in a bowed Position. but she slowly raised and turned her head to amy. Her face was blank and unseen and her slow movements were quite eerie.

and when she finally turned her head to the care taker, the sound of children having fun behind them was loud, and their steps were felt by amy as she was in a state of deep nervousness, when she witnessed the look the young girl gave her. Ashika's eyes didnt had any expression, neither her entire face yet her stare at amy was rather something, and her presence was uncomfortable enough to make the care taker automatically stand up and walk away.

As she was walking away, she looked back at ashika who was now back on her bowed position and was still sat on the swing. another female kid witnessed the event between the care taker and ashika, and couldn't help but tilt her head from the curiousness she had.

Ashika, on the other hand still lost in her own thoughts, suddenly shifted her attention to a bird in the tree that was feeding its children. her stare at the loving family of birds were not in a positive way. something darker perhaps... And after a brief moment, she switches her attention again and closes her eyes, facing nothing but absolute darkness and her mind being in a blank state.

"life..." Ashika pondered on the concept of life while she reminisced about the bird she had seen earlier feeding its young. In her vivid imagination, she witnessed a horrific transformation of the bird: its azure feathers dissolving like water poured into a cup, while its remaining body parts contorted grotesquely and burst apart with an explosion of iridescent blood.

"the life they held was something that could fill up the world. what is life with delight. Is it hell or is it hell... I sure do wanna know if life can be something as bad as worse..." she again, says in her mind.

she opened her eyes, and again switches her attention, but this time, she shifted her focus on the other children, playing and having the time of their lives as they illuminate the sound of joy and laughter.

"whenever i see them they always hold the aspect of delight within them. I once wondered what would happen if they all died without feeling any of those blessings... Would they cry as they seek for help, being lost in a void of eternity does sound quite... delightful..." ashika once again, said in her head.

and in this moment, she once again moved her attention on something else. looking at across the streets, she once again witnessed a decease animal, a lifeless bird was laying down just beside the tree. it was the same mother bird that was feeding it's children. now dead and was being swarmed by insects. after witnessing this tragedy, she once again closes her eyes and thought to herself

"live life, death, worlds... the extinction of triumph..."
