Chapter 36 - The green-eyed monster

Chapter 36

His entire body shook as he let go and entered her eager tongue. She ate him up, never taking her eyes off of him, then gently withdrew and wiped her lips with the back of her hand. After their recent passionate exchange, the two of them lay there exhausted and breathing heavily.

This was the moment Katarine understood what it feels like to truly be desired and wanted by someone. She realized that the intensity of their hunger and lust was a moment of pure connection and vulnerability that left her feeling both exhilarated and content. Recalling the videos she watched on ow to pleasure, a man came handly; everything she did could naturally be as if she had had so many manly encounters, but she knows this was the only moment she felt making love and recalled every actin and pleasure she felt; it was making her sign in disbelief that having sex with Ethan was overwhelming her senses and even her entire body.

The table that Ethan and Katarine found themselves using for their passionate encounter was actually the same office table that Katarine was using at her workplace. This table, which had likely witnessed countless hours of work and meetings, now found itself at the center of a highly intimate moment between two people. Its sturdiness and durability, which were surely designed for the rigors of office life, proved to be more than adequate for the unexpected use it was now being put to.

The familiarity of the table added an unexpected element of excitement to their tryst, as Katarine couldn't help but feel a thrill at the thought of such a taboo act taking place on a piece of furniture that she saw and used every day. This added layer of excitement only served to heighten the intensity of their connection, as the two of them became lost in each other's embrace.

As the encounter came to a close, Ethan showed his gentlemanly side by gathering both his and Katarine's clothes, even picking up her undergarments and handing them to her with a slight chuckle. Katarine, feeling a mix of embarrassment and gratitude, couldn't help but blush at the sight of a man holding her underwear.

The casual, lighthearted moment between them was a sharp contrast to the passionate intensity of their tryst, but it was a welcome reminder that even in the heat of the moment, Ethan was still the same kind and respectful man she had come to know. The entire experience left Katarine feeling a sense of excitement and connection to Ethan that she had never felt before.

They both made sure they were properly dressed. Knowing that they were inside a canopy tent, the chance that some of the mansion staff accidentally saw them doing the deed made them extra cautious. Despite the risk of being caught, the thrill of their secret rendezvous only added to the excitement and intensity of their connection.

Ethan wanted to walk out first but Katarine insisted that they just both go out and face the consequences together. As they exited the tent, hand in hand, they knew that whatever happened next, they would face it as a team.

Sadly the expectation they were thinking in their mind never came real as if the entire mansion was abandon , as signs of any person the huge mansion were nowhere to be found. They exchanged confused glances, wondering if they had somehow been discovered or if something more sinister was at play. Despite the eerie silence, they knew they had each other to rely on as they navigated the empty mansion together.

So after a few minutes, Katarine decided to go inside the main lobby, and Ethan followed her. As soon as she got there, she saw a strange scene as all of the mansin staff, including a gardener, maintenance, and their individual bodyguards, were waiting patiently inside the large living room. All three dozen were lined up as if they were awaiting orders from someone.

The air was thick with tension as Katarine and Ethan exchanged a nervous glance, realizing that they were not alone in the mansion after all. It was clear that something more sinister was at play, and they needed to figure out what was going on before Leonhardt Maier Siegert Katarine's father approached approched Katarine and hugged her .

Ethan just stood and watched as everybody staying and working at the mansion seemed to be happy about something. When Grand Matriarch Helena Felicie Siegert told him to just wait until everything calms down and the answer he wanted to hear will eventually be revealed,

Ethan just casually walked out of the living room and left the entire family to their vices , giving them space. As he took a deep breath the cold breeze of the wind hit his face. Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that whatever awaited him outside the mansion walls would be for the better.

While Ethan found himself with some time to spare, he took the opportunity to admire the stunning location that he had been invited to. The exterior of the mansion was truly a sight to behold, with small, fine details that Ethan had never noticed before now coming into sharp focus. The walls surrounding the property were intricately carved with beautiful designs, showcasing the wealth and sophistication of the Siegert family. Ethan couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship that had gone into creating such an amazing structure.

As he made his way around the property, Ethan found himself standing in front of the main gate leading out of the estate. The gate was secured and made to endure any potential intruders, with thick bars of solid black steel that would be difficult to breach. The guard house protecting the walls was placed and incorporated seamlessly into the wall itself, equipped with surveillance cameras and floodlights that ensured the security of the estate.

Ethan was impressed by the measures that the Siegert family had taken to protect their home and safety. However, he noticed that the guards, who were normally stationed at the gate, were nowhere to be found. Instead, they were inside the mansion lobby, waiting intently for something. Ethan wondered what could be happening inside the mansion to cause such a stir.

Despite the absence of the guards, Ethan felt a sense of security, knowing that the gate was sturdy and would not open without permission. He reached out and grabbed one of the gate faces, feeling the cool metal beneath his fingers. As he scanned the area for any signs of intrusion or suspicious activity, he found everything to be quiet and still.

Despite the uncertainty of what was happening inside the mansion, Ethan couldn't help but take a look at what was happening outside. He wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do, but something saw him peer through the gate's bars and catch a glimpse of the outside when something suddenly came out and just grabbed hold of him and pulled him out into the road.

Is it a looking creature? It was like a dog standing on all four legs that stood about 2 feet tall but had two long tenticles extending out of its side connected at its rib cage, and it sounded more like laughing than growling. The creature's eyes glowed a bright yellow as it dragged him further away from the gate. Ethan's heart raced as he realized he was face-to-face with something not of this world. He is now at the bottom of the hill from the mansion, about 35 meters.

But a truck suddenly came toward the intersection of the road and smashed into the creature, instantly killing it. The driver got scared seeing such a mutated creature openly attack a civilian out of broad daylight. The truck driver rushed out to investigate and help the person who was getting attacked.

Ethan was on the ground and was in shock, but he seemed to be fine. As he got up, the truck driver was holding a wrench and still in a panic mode, thinking there were more mutated creatures around. Ethan quickly reassured the driver that he was okay and that there were no other creatures in sight. The driver then called for emergency services to report the incident and ensure Ethan received any necessary medical attention.

Everything happened so fast that the moment Katarine went out to look for Ethan he was already gone. Panic set in as she realized he was nowhere to be found. She frantically searched the area, calling out his name in desperation, hoping he would respond and return safely. Krauss rushed to access the CCTV camera when they saw Ethan getting dragged outside the gate by something. A sense of dread washed over her as she watched the disturbing footage.

Meanwhile, the truck driver's heart sank as Ethan explained he had just recovered from an injury that nearly took his life. As the emergency staff informed the man he was perfectly fine, they focused on the remains of the dead mutated creature still under the truck's front wheel. Its crush body was so mangled that it was unrecognizable, causing a shiver to run down the truck driver's spine. The emergency staff quickly called for backup to properly dispose of the creature's remains.

Ethan found himself in a state of disbelief as he tried to process the reality of the situation. He had never imagined that he would be in the back of an ambulance, witnessing such a gruesome scene. The driver, who had introduced himself as Hector Hernandez, seemed to be a kind and gentle man who was nearing the end of his career as a delivery driver. Ethan was grateful for the distraction that Hector provided as he recounted his experiences and plans for retirement.

However, Ethan's train of thought was suddenly derailed as he caught sight of Katarine's car driving down the pathway towards the main city intersection road. He watched as she quickly approached the ambulance, her expression a mix of concern and jealousy. The female emergency staff who had been attending to Ethan were taken aback by Katarine's sudden arrival and familiarity with Ethan.

Katarine quickly got out of her car and rushed towards Ethan, her movements filled with urgency. The emergency staff stepped back in surprise, unsure of how to react to the situation. Ethan felt a mixture of emotions as he watched Katarine approach him, unsure of what to say or do. He had never seen her display such jealousy before, and it made him realize just how much she cared for him.

As Katarine arrived at the scene of the accident, she quickly made her way to the back of the ambulance where Ethan was being attended to by the emergency medical staff. Despite the frantic and tumultuous nature of the situation, Ethan could not help but notice the expression on Katarine's face, which was a complex mixture of concern and jealousy. Her brows were furrowed in genuine worry for his well-being, and her eyes were filled with a deep sense of emotion that conveyed just how much she cared for him. At the same time, there was a hint of a green-eyed monster lurking in her gaze, as if she were unable to hide her own feelings of envy and insecurity at seeing Ethan in the care of the female medical professional.

As Katarine approached them, the emergency staff stepped back in surprise, taken aback by the intensity of her expression. They had likely never seen a loved one react quite so strongly to an emergency situation, and they were unsure of how to react. But Katarine paid them no mind; her focus was solely on Ethan and his well-being. She reached out a hand to touch his arm, her fingers gently brushing against the fabric of his sleeve as if to reassure herself that he was really there and that he was okay.

For Ethan, this moment was a powerful reminder of just how much Katarine cared for him. In the midst of all the chaos and confusion, she had rushed to his side, her emotions on full display for all to see. And while there was a part of him that was touched by her concern, there was also a part of him that was worried about the intensity of her jealousy. He knew that this was a side of Katarine that she rarely showed, and he couldn't help but wonder what it meant for their relationship.

But in that moment, as he looked into Katarine's eyes and felt the warmth of her touch, all of those worries seemed to fade away. He knew that he loved her and that she loved him, and that was all that mattered. The rest would work itself out in time, he was sure. For now, all he cared about was being there for Katarine, just as she had been there for him in his time of need. And in that moment, as they stood together in the back of the ambulance,

As soon as Hector and Ethan were able to give their statements to the police regarding the incident, they were finally given the opportunity to go home after they went to the hospital for proper treatment. According to the female medical attendant on the scene, the ordeal had been long and exhausting, and both of them were eager to leave and put the day's events behind them.

Meanwhile, Katarine had been waiting patiently near her car, watching as the female medical staff attended to Ethan. Even from a distance, she could see the way they were looking at him, and it made her blood boil. She had never felt such a strong sense of anger and protectiveness before.

As a successful businesswoman, Katarine was no stranger to stress and high-pressure situations. But this was different. This was personal. She had grown fond of Ethan over the course of the day, and the thought of him being hurt or in danger made her heart race.

The more she watched, the more annoyed she became. She couldn't understand why the medical staff were still hovering around Ethan when he had clearly been cleared to leave. She clenched and unclenched her fists, willing herself to stay calm and not interfere.

But as the minutes ticked by, her patience wore thin. She could see Ethan growing increasingly uncomfortable under the scrutiny of the medical staff, and she knew she had to do something. She strode forward, every inch the confident and determined woman she was, and demanded that they release Ethan into her care.

The medical staff hesitated, but Katarine's steely gaze and no-nonsense attitude left them with little choice. Ethan was released, and he gratefully climbed into the passenger seat of Katarine's car.

As Katarine and Ethan drove away from the scene, Katarine couldn't help but feel a complex mixture of emotions. On the one hand, she felt a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, knowing that she had stood up for what she believed in and protected someone she cared about.

The intense anger and determination that had welled up inside her when she saw Ethan being attacked by that creature was a new experience for her, but it was also exhilarating, making her feel strong and empowered. The adrenaline that was now coursing through her veins made her feel invincible, and she knew that she would do whatever it took to ensure Ethan's safety.

On the other hand, however, Katarine couldn't shake the feeling of fear in her heart. She knew deep down that they were not out of danger yet and that whatever had grabbed hold of Ethan was not an ordinary creature. The thought of what other dangers might be lurking out there in the dark, waiting for them to let their guard down, made her skin crawl.

Katarine had always been a rational and logical person, but she couldn't deny that her experiences in the past few days had shaken her to the core. She had never believed in monsters and supernatural creatures before, but now she couldn't help but wonder if there was some truth to the legends and myths that she had always dismissed as mere superstition.

Despite her fears, Katarine knew that she couldn't turn back now. She had made a commitment to help Ethan, and she was determined to see it through to the end, no matter what dangers lay ahead. As they drove further away from the scene, they bound toward the warehouse, where he is temporarily staying as Mr. Ross replacement.

She may not have all the answers, and he may be stepping into a world that he knows nothing about. She is well aware of who she really was; she was just too scared to face the truth. But now that she has finally found the only man who could tame her dark side, she feels a sense of relief and hope for the first time in years. With Ethan by her side,

"Nobody will ever take you away from me," she whispered, feeling a sense of protection and security that she had never experienced before. With him, she finally felt like she could face her past and embrace her true self without fear.
