Home Alone Premiere
November 10, 1997, Chicago
Home Alone had its premiere on at the Chicago as part of a special event screening before its general release. This was a special occasion, not a traditional theater premiere, with the wide release following a few days later.
At this premiere, only a few film critics were invited for advertisement purposes. Chris invited his Hollywood friends, including directors and screenwriters, while the rest of the tickets were given to the film crew members. Justin came with his mother, Pattie. Dressed in a suit that made him look cute, he wore a happy smile, feeling ecstatic because he knew this movie was going to be a box office hit and a classic for Christmas.
He felt confident that he was going to become famous instantly without having to work as hard as regular people. He was also going to release his debut album on the 16th, coinciding with the movie's wide release in North America.
Justin attended the premiere with his mother because John had given Pattie two free tickets. She purchased a beautiful long black dress at a bargain from her friend's shop and had a tailor make Justin's suit at a local tailor shop.
Even though the movie had not been heavily advertised, it became popular among groups of movie fans who loved to watch films with their families during Christmas, New Year, and summer holidays. It became a go-to film for families heading to movie theaters. Additionally, the movie Titanic was finishing an amazing box office performance, with fans watching it more than ten times and always leaving the theater in tears.
This movie, Titanic, directed by James Cameron and released in 1997, is an epic romance and disaster film that tells the story of Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater, who fall in love aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic. The film's production was notable for its groundbreaking use of special effects and detailed sets. Filming took place in various locations, including a massive water tank in Mexico, where a near-full-scale replica of the ship was built. The budget for the film exceeded $200 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever produced at that time.
Upon its release in summer 1997, Titanic received critical acclaim and became a cultural phenomenon. The film grossed over $2.2 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film until it was surpassed by Avatar in 2010. It won 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, further solidifying its legacy in cinematic history. The combination of a compelling love story, spectacular visuals, and historical tragedy resonated with audiences globally, leading to its enduring popularity and numerous re-releases, particularly in 3D format, over the years. Titanic remains a landmark achievement in film production and box office success.
Even in the countryside, Titanic was still running.
Now, let's return to the Home Alone premiere. Yes, local news reporters attended, but there were only two to three reporters.

In the corner of the theatre
Two small news reporters stood in the back of the room, looking at each other with bemusement.
"Can you believe we got assigned to cover this small movie premiere?" one reporter said, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, I mean, it's not even Titanic! It's just Home Alone," replied the other, fiddling with his notepad. "I was expecting a big event, and here we are."
" There so many news we can use like the scandal between Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio hottest star right now affair photo than we will promotion immediately "
"I heard they only invited a handful of critics. Who knew that Hollywood stars were too busy for a little Christmas movie?"
"Right? I thought we'd be reporting on glamorous red carpets, but instead, it feels like we're covering a school play."
Just then, a crew member approached them. "Hey, you two! We need you to get some quotes from Justin!"
"Justin who?" the first reporter asked, confused.
"The kid! He's in the movie! Get a soundbite from him; it'll make your story more exciting!"
"Oh great," the second reporter muttered sarcastically. "Now we're chasing down child actors."
As they walked over to Justin, he was chatting with his mother, Pattie, who wore a beautiful long black dress.
"Excuse me, Justin!" one reporter called out, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Can we get a quick interview with you?"
"Sure!" Justin said, beaming with excitement.
"Do you think this movie will be a box office hit?" the first reporter asked, trying to get straight to the point.
"I know it will!" Justin exclaimed. "It's got a great story, and everyone loves a good Christmas movie. Plus, my song 'Naughty' is in it! I can't wait for everyone to hear it!"
"Wow, so you're the secret weapon behind this movie?" the second reporter joked.
"Something like that!" Justin laughed, clearly enjoying the moment.
As they wrapped up the interview, the reporters exchanged glances.
"Did you hear that? This kid thinks it's going to be huge," one reporter said.
But what this two reporter didn't know the this interview will change there life because this interview will become there selling point because how popular Home alone is going to be.
Everyone took their seats as the movie was about to begin. Justin purchased a big basket of popcorn and a cold drink to enjoy during the show. The atmosphere in the theater was electric, filled with anticipation. He couldn't help but feel a little nervous, despite knowing the movie was going to be a box office hit. After all, this was his first movie.
As the film started, the McCallister family was shown in a frenzy, preparing for their Christmas trip to Paris. Kevin, played by Justin, felt overwhelmed and neglected amidst the chaos of his large family. After a fight with his older brother, Buzz, he was sent to the attic for misbehavior. That night, during a power outage, Kevin wished that his family would disappear.
When he woke up the next morning, he discovered that his family had left for their trip without him. Initially ecstatic about being home alone, Kevin jumped out of bed, filled with energy and freedom. In the background, Justin's catchy song "Naughty" played, perfectly capturing Kevin's mischievous spirit as he began to explore the house without restrictions.
He reveled in the freedom, jumping on the bed and engaging in activities his parents had forbidden, like eating junk food and watching movies. Everyone in the movie theater was enjoying the song and found it to perfectly fit the film.
However, his joy soon turned to concern when he realized that two burglars, Harry and Marv, were plotting to rob his home. Determined to protect his territory, Kevin began to devise clever traps to thwart their plans. His resourcefulness shone through as he set up a series of outrageous booby traps around the house. The scene was both comedic and clever, showcasing Kevin's ingenuity and resilience as he transformed his home into a fortress.
As the audience watched, they laughed out loud at the comedic scenes involving the two bumbling thieves.
When the burglars made their first attempt to break in, Kevin was ready. His traps included paint cans swinging down the staircase, hot doorknobs, and slippery floors. Each time they tried to enter, Kevin's traps left them bruised and frustrated. The comedic timing was impeccable, as Harry and Marv's antics created a series of laugh-out-loud moments.
Throughout the chaos, Kevin occasionally reflected on his family, especially during a heartwarming scene when he watched a Christmas movie that reminded him of the joy of family togetherness. Despite his initial excitement about being alone, he began to realize the importance of his loved ones.
The film reached its climax when Harry and Marv finally managed to break into the house. They were determined to catch Kevin, but he continued to outsmart them at every turn. Their slapstick confrontations led to increasingly outrageous mishaps, all while Kevin managed to stay one step ahead.
In the end, Kevin's clever traps led to the burglars' capture when the police arrived, alerted by a neighbor. His family, having realized they left him behind, rushed back home, filled with love and concern. When they finally reunited, they embraced him, grateful and relieved to see him safe.
The film concluded on a heartwarming note, emphasizing the themes of family, love, and the holiday spirit. Kevin looked out the window, seeing his family together and reminding viewers of the joy and warmth that comes with being home for the holidays. Home Alone remains a timeless classic, showcasing the resilience of a young boy and the importance of family during Christmas.
After the movie premiere, Justin was welcomed by Chris and John, who introduced their close circle of friends. Among them was an Indian director with brown skin and curly hair. Justin remembered this director, M. Night Shyamalan, who had made one of his favorite movies, The Sixth Sense. He loved that movie and was interested in knowing more about the man behind it.
POV: M. Night Shyamalan
M. Night Shyamalan was impressed by this kid named Justin in the movie due to his acting skills and off screen personality. He thought maybe he could give Justin a chance, as he needed a child actor for a supporting role in his new movie, impressed by the kid's great acting abilities.
POV Ends
After the movie premiere, Justin's mother, Pattie, was very happy because she was also in a scene with her son, making it a memorable moment for her.
The day after the premiere, film critics invited by 20th Century Fox praised the movie in newspapers and movie magazine recommendations on small pages.
Then, the movie was released wide in North America on November 16th. On the first day, the box office collection was $7 million in North America, while the international box office exceeded $10 million.
The newspapers went crazy after the first box office release. Word of mouth made this movie even more popular. Media companies reported on this news, which further increased the film's popularity. Justin, as the main character, became a household name. In the credit scene, the singing and songwriting credits included Justin, though many people didn't realize that he was the one behind the catchy song, as only a few knew his name.
Justin's debut album hit the market at just the right time, though it didn't become a hot-selling album because many people didn't know he had released it.
Author's Note
Many of you have been asking about Diddy in this story and wondering where he is. The reason I haven't mentioned him much is that If I added him randomly, as if he were just driving down the road and happened to find Justin walking. Diddy could have made him a star and signed him to his Bad Boy label, but that would have been a forced and silly plot twist.
Let me clarify: Diddy will appear in the story, but as a villain. The reason he's not in the story now is that he's not as powerful as he was from 2005 to 2022. At this point, he is just a small label owner who owns all the copyrights of B.I.G.'s songs.
