"Dear Mom and Dad,
I miss you, and I'm sorry.
I hope all is well with both of you, despite everything happening, and I want to let you know that I'm fine as well. Nothing but your typical Journey to Midflora.
Surely someone informed you of the outcome in Koro though? Always the wrong place at the wrong time, right?
I couldn't face you after what happened to Gairma, and I couldn't see her again either.
Please forgive me for everything that has happened, just know that I'm doing everything in my power to try and fix what has happened to the best of my ability.
All I ask, if you can spare it, is just a bit of your well wishes.
This journey has opened my eyes to many things.
I've come to realize that, while Gairma is gone, she is still with us in spirit, and I am stronger than I could have ever imagined I would be.
I refuse to let someone else go through the pain our family has felt if I can help it.
By the time you receive this letter, I should hopefully be passing over the Tainted Sea in the north and into the country of Karkello. (I've always loved this name more than ours- Country of Parnt?)
Once I reach Karkello, I'll be in the state of Mistrich.
From there I'll head southeast to the state of Jahna then east again to the state of Bermin.
Then I'll cross the Spinal River and head into the state of Louve of Midflora.
My last destination will be northeast once more, to the state of Winden where the capital guilds are located; my final destination.
Wugrayl.
Unfortunately, Viktor Klora, one of the guards of Koro, who had been guiding me is having to go back, but I found an amazing cat to help me!
Please watch over Viktor!
Love, Mana.
P.S. I'm level 40!"
-----------------
Mana handed her letter to Viktor with a reassuring smile plastered on her face, and he smiled back, gently grabbing it from her before putting it in his satchel. Though, he was worried.
He was about to be transported back to Koro with the help of a large group of guards that had come to retrieve him; leaving Mana and Fluffy to go ahead on their own. The doctors had stabilized him to a point where he could now walk; though, he was limited. Viktor was cleared just enough to be able to carry his own weight and nothing more than the clothes he was wearing and his small satchel.
He pulled her gently towards him, one hand on her hip, the other on her cheek, before leaning down and kissing her. "I'd ask you to wait, but I know better at this point," he whispered to her. He gave her another quick kiss before stepping back to join his impatient brigade. "Be safe, Mana."
Viktor knew she had become very strong, and definitely had a more powerful secret to her. Her newly found power made him a bit more comfortable, but at the same time worried.
Those with mytho-weapons are strong, there's no doubt about it; but each person with a mytho-weapon, whether it be physical or magical, each had a special power that made them a temporary God; but at a cost.
Mana is a kind woman, but even he has sensed something in her changing. A rage in her that wasn't human.
Viktor knew he wouldn't be able to stop her from her journey, so all he could do was hope she would be alright.
However, before he left her and the village, he made sure that any corrupted guards that remained were executed for their actions; the murder, rape, stealing, working with The Mire, so on. They were living monsters.
They were then replaced with new guards from Koro, and the village was promised a bi-monthly check in by different superior officers.
The doctors, upon Viktor's request more so than her own, had inspected Mana to be sure she was healthy for her travels. To both Viktor and Mana's relief, the doctors had concluded that she was completely healed, with no leftover damage. The stitch job the twins did was more than just a stitch, but they refused to tell her what; they just reiterated that they know how to stitch well.
Mana had informed Viktor of her path, that way, when he felt he was ready, he could possibly find her.
As they said their goodbyes, Fluffy, having had kept his distance, yelled out, "I'll see you soon no-nuts!" Before he hopped into Mana's backpack.
Viktor stopped suddenly, before turning to face them once more. He gave them a wink, then stuck his middle finger up.
Fluffy hissed.
Mana blushed.
Yuri and Lita approached the two adventurers with urgency, trying to catch her before she too headed off. Yuri pulled a small sack of vials from a small bag she had hanging across her chest. When Mana peeked inside, she counted 4 sparked-potions in total, a pink one, a yellow one, a green one, and a white one.
"Our father was a healer, a lover. All he ever wanted to do was to help people. Then, when The Mire corrupted our protection, he confronted them. Because of that, they made him watch as they.... assaulted us." Yuri began. "He was not a physically strong man, he was weak and fragile, but his mind was powerful."
"They beat him beyond recognition in the middle of the town as a demonstration. They beat him until his mind was weak, and he begged for mercy as he lay there in the mud," Lita continued, trying to stay strong herself. "We weren't able to help him when they gave us his battered body and had threatened the doctors that if any of them had tried to help, they would suffer a fate worse than death."
"So, we have experimented ever since; trying to create potions to help those that are in need and are unable to see a doctor. We just recently perfected some recipes, but the ingredients are a bit hard to get." They said in unison, solemnly. "These are our only vials of each for now. We had a 5th type, but we used it on you. Potion of Complete Healing; if we had another, we would have given it to Viktor," they reassured Mana. "The pink spark is the potion of Speed, the yellow is strength, green is infinite HP, and white is weightlessness. Tested and guaranteed!" They cheered in unison before winking at her like a slogan. "Eventually we will be able to make them faster; though if you're ever around come check in and see!"
Mana thanked them, hugging them each.
"Oh!" Yuri said, "almost forgot!" She then handed Mana her green tank top, denim shorts, and her brown boots.
"Told you we stitch well." Lita winked at her.
