Lucas stirred awake. At first, the ceiling above him looked unfamiliar and for a moment panic set in. Had the kidnappers taken him again? The sound of a cup being placed on a table oddly calmed him down. He turned his head towards the sound trying to see who it belonged to. Riley. He was having coffee and staring at him quietly.
" I could have sworn it was a damsel asleep, " Riley joked mid sip. " You slept like a log ," he continued and took a sip before placing down the cup. Every move of his oozed elegance and innate class as if he was born with it. Lucas was jealous; how hadn't he noticed that before.
Groggily, he turned his head and looked up again, this time at ease. "What time is it," ? He asked in a raspy voice full of sleep. " It's past eleven am," Riley replied. " You're almost going to be late for your court case mention," he continued quietly looking down on his tablet.
