"Sparkling blue, a magical hue, falls from the stars to bring light. 5 are born, 3 must die, the missing two, may still be alive. Eyes red as fire, as pink as unnatural, a beautiful purple covered in shadows. Flames of black and white, hold the balance of the world, as the crystal's magic goes unheard-"
Alia read the scroll, it was one the camp had for years. the issue was, the scroll was missing words, and without the rest of the words, the scrolls prophecy couldn't be determined. "this is a waste of our time Alia.", a man said, he was bald, except for the one curly hair strand sitting on his head. he had narrowed eyes, and an always tired expression. "Greg, our leader asked us of all people to finish the scroll's prophecy, we have to do it. im sure with in time we will get it, all we have to do is find out where the other half of the scroll went.", Alia explained.
Alia was a short stubby girl, she had long straight brown hair, with dark brown eyes, her style was steampunk, and she always had on a monocle, her and her cousin Greg worked in a clock store within the camp, it was well known to, but it was also the only clock store in town that sold and bought antique clocks and gadgets. lets just say, they were out of date for their time.
Greg huffed irritably. "I'm just saying, we've been going over this thing for months now, and we're no closer to figuring it out. And frankly, I don't think we ever will. The other half of the scroll is probably long gone."
Alia shot him a glare, her eyes narrowing behind her monocle. "You don't know that for sure. The other half could still be out there somewhere, just waiting to be found." Greg rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. Do you seriously believe that? The scroll was probably just some stupid fantasy someone wrote a hundred years ago. It's ridiculous to think it could actually mean anything."
Alia clenched her jaw, her patience wearing thin. "Maybe it is ridiculous, but we won't know unless we try. And besides, our camp leader asked us specifically to finish the scroll's prophecy. We have a responsibility to follow through."
Greg grumbled under his breath, clearly not convinced. "Responsibility my ass. If you ask me, our leader just wanted us out of the way. We're both useless when it comes to real magic. All we know is clocks."
Alia bristled at the insult. "That's not fair," she protested. "Just because we're not as powerful as the others doesn't mean our skills aren't important." Alia claimed as she walked over to her computer and began typing away when she noticed a three dots form on her other computer. "What the- Greg, look at this, the radar is going crazy, I think something is happening!"
He walked over to Alia's computer, peering at the radar screen as the three dots continued to flicker and dance across the screen. "What the hell is that? Do you think it's a glitch?" Alia shook her head no. "the system is protected from glitches, there's no way it's a glitch." She explained, and Suddenly, the three dots split apart, landing in different areas of the maps on the radar. "Hey look, the dots moved!", Alia said in excitement. Greg's eyes widened. "Wait, what? They're moving?"
He leaned closer, studying the radar carefully. "This is weird. The system is designed to show only the most powerful magical disturbances. But these dots...they're moving around like they're being attacked by something." Alia frowned, her mind racing. "Could it be another camp? Maybe they're trying to launch some sort of attack?" Greg walked over to the closet and opened it, revealing some gear. "Whatever it is, we have to find out, we can't just let it get past us, a specially if it's a threat."
Alia nodded in agreement, already grabbing a few items from the closet herself. "You're right. We can't afford to ignore this. But we need to be careful. We don't know what we're dealing with here."
They quickly donned the gear, strapping on various protective items and gadgets. By the time they exited the clock shop, they looked more like a pair of mad scientists than antiquarians.
Greg looked at his watch and then at Alia. "The computer said the dots went separate ways, so we should split up, I'll head towards the dots that landed in Pomona valley, you head towards the one in Maplery canyon." Alia nodded, pulling out a small compass. "Got it. Be careful though, we don't know what we're walking into here."
Greg grinned, his usual tired expression replaced with determination. "Careful is my middle name. You're the one who needs to watch your back. I checked the radar and the dot your heading towards is very strong, it's Aura strength, although it's low, it's very powerful in some way that even I can't explain."
Alia's face paled. "Low aura strength but high power? That doesn't make any sense. Whatever it is, it's not normal."
Greg shrugged. "Well, you know what they say, magic is never normal. Just remember what your Aunt Rose always taught you, don't underestimate your opponent, no matter how low their aura may be."
Alia nodded and the two began to head off in different directions, Greg towards the two dots that were far into the lands of Pomona valley, the two dots we're lengths away from each other so it would be a long walk for him. As for Alia, she was heading towards Maplery Canyon, it was dangerous and full of many beast, luckily for her and her cousin they had armor and decent weapons from their leader all in exchange for helping find the other half of the prophecy scroll.

Greg trudged through the Pomona Valley, his eyes scanning the surroundings nervously. The terrain was getting wilder and more untamed the further he walked, and he couldn't shake the feeling like he was being watched. As he walked through the Valley he came across a forest area, this was where the closest dot fell, so he walked into the forest and followed his compass. It was connected to the coordinates that responded to the laptops coordinates of the dot. It had been a good two or three days of traveling, he hadn't calculated how long it would take but at least he could see that the dot on the radar hadn't moved. "I'm here but I don't see anything...", Greg said as he looked around the area, could it really have been a glitch, and Alia was wrong? This would just mean that their time was wasted for nothing.
With a heavy sigh he turned around to head back to the settlement, but when he did, he froze in place as a giant beast jumped out of the forest and bared it's teeth at him, it had a long skinny tail that grew in size as it fanned out creating two more endings to the tail, it had five legs and it's legs were long and skinny as If it hadn't eaten in days, and it had ten eyes, all of which were closed except one which was in the middle of it's face. "A gronger....what is that thing doing in the Jungle?!", Greg panicked taking out his only weapon, which was a bow and some arrows. The Gronger roared, its jaws wide open, showing off its sharp fangs. Its many eyes glared at Greg, sizing him up like prey. Greg's heart raced as he quickly nocked an arrow into his bow, his hands shaking slightly. This wasn't supposed to happen. He didn't sign up for confrontations with giant beasts. "Stay back!" he shouted, aiming his bow at the creature's center eye. "I don't want any trouble!" The Gronger didn't seem to understand or care about Greg's words. It let out another deafening roar and lunged towards him.
Greg quickly released his arrow, and it whizzed through the air towards the Gronger's eye. It connected, but the beast kept coming. The arrow had barely slowed it down. Greg stumbled backwards, trying to keep some distance between himself and the creature.
"Crap, crap, crap!" he muttered, his fingers trembling as he fumbled to nock another arrow. The Gronger was getting closer, its many eyes fixed on Greg like it was the tastiest meal it had seen in years.Greg managed to nock another arrow, his hands shaking so violently that he almost dropped his bow. He aimed at the Gronger again, his heart pounding in his chest. The beast was only a few feet away now, its jaws snapping and snapping.
With a desperate effort, Greg released the arrow. It shot through the air and hit the creature in the shoulder. It stumbled back, letting out an angry howl, but it was still coming.
The beast lunged at him again, he'd put another arrow in his bow but wasn't able to fire fast enough, the creature knocked his bow away and jumped on him, the moment it was about to slash him, the beast let out a powerful roar just as a sword went right through it's side and was quickly pulled back out, before the creatures wound could start healing, someone Greg had never seen before jumped on top of the creature and stabbed right into it again.
Greg's eyes widened in shock as another person tackled the beast, driving a sword into its side. He'd been saved, but he had no idea who his savior was. The stranger moved with incredible speed and precision, their blade sinking deep into the Grongi's flesh.
Greg scrambled backwards, his heart still racing from the close call. He watched in shock and amazement as the stranger finished off the creature in what seemed like seconds.
the beast collapsed to the floor and it's body began to turn to mist at it's defeat, once it did the person who defeated it walked over to where the beast had been, and leaned down, he picked up a glowing orb and put it away in his bag, it was something the beast dropped when defeated, they were different colors depending on how strong they were this orb was red, meaning the beast was one of the 4th ranking beast, meaning it was very strong.
Greg's eyes were fixed on the stranger, his heart slowly returning to a normal beat. He had so many questions - who was this person, and How had they managed to defeat the Grongi so easily?
Before he could find the words to ask, the stranger turned and approached him. They studied Greg with a cool, assessing gaze, their expression unreadable.
Greg sat up and looked over at his broken bow, he'd only just received it a few days ago, "Damn I didn't even get to fully test it out.", he thought to himself. "Who are you...?", Greg asked looking up at the man.
The man looked at him for a moment longer until two other people walked out of the trees. "Finally, we found another person!", Candice said with Amelia following behind her.
"Yes, but we don't know if he's friend or foe.", Barron said, now having his sword, pointed at the man.
