About half an hour later, Chichi laid out a table laden with delicacies from both mountains and seas. These dishes were a the delicacies from Mount Paozu – unattainable for those living in ordinary metropolises.
The reason was simple, Mount Paozu harbored a menagerie of rare and exotic animals. Ordinary people dared not set foot there. Hunters who ventured into its dangerous terrain risked becoming saber-toothed tiger or dinosaur prey. And then there were the giant lizards – a unique delicacy found only on Mount Paozu.
"Goten," Chichi said, wiping her hands on her apron, "You must have starved in the time chamber for the past two years, you need to eat more." Her maternal concern was evident.
"Well, thanks, Mom." Goten replied, appreciative.
He attacked the food voraciously. Initially, when he transmigrated, the unfamiliar dished had given him a pause. But over time, he grew accustomed to their flavors. And they were delicious! The portions were generous, filling a Saiyan's bottomless stomach.
Soon, the table was wiped clean by Goten alone. The food in the hyperbolic time chamber had been abysmal in taste, especially the self-prepared meals. Now, he savored every bite.
After eating, Goten retreated to the back to Mount Paozu to resume training. As he had said before, training must never cease. To avoid becoming same as Gohan – caught off guard and unprepared – he needed to consolidate his newfound Super Saiyan II strength.
In this way, the ordinary and comfortable life passed by day by day.
In the blink of an eye, two months passed. Goten remained unwavering in his commitment to rigorous training. He didn't slack off after defeating Cell.
He knew that the enemies he'd face next would far surpass Cell's strength.
…...
Meanwhile, in the remote and desolate valley of eastern capital, an enormous underground spaceship lay hidden. Within its metallic confines, several peculiar figures gathered. Before them stood an upright pink giant egg – a vessel that sealed the legendary Majin Buu.
At this time, purple light was constantly flashing on the pink giant egg.
Babidi, the malevolent magician, addressed the egg with fervor. "Hihihi...my Majin Buu, wake up quickly!" Babiddi whispered while caressing the egg, "After waking up, you can help me rule this universe." The pulsing light around the egg indicated that Majin Buu had absorbed immense energy. From the looks of it, the seal would break soon, releasing the formidable creature.
The reason why the egg had absorbed immense energy was a result of the epic battle two month ago. Though unfamiliar with the combatants, Babidi recognized the immense power they wielded.
His centuries of energy accumulation paled in comparison to the recent clash.
Now, as Majin Buu stirred within the egg, Babidi saw an opportunity. "I can take control of the entire universe," he declared, "Kill that arrogant Kaiōshin, and avenge my father."
But one of Babidi's followers had a different idea. "Babidi-sama, there is no need to wait for Majin Buu to be resurrected at all," the confident voice of a guy with long ears and pink skin interrupted.
This guy was none other than the Demon King Dabura.
As a member of the demon realm, and a demon king, he exuded self-confidence and superiority.
"Shut up!" Babidi's displeasure was evident. "Try to say as little nonsense like this to me in the future," he warned Dabura, "or I'll make you into Majin Buu's fodder!"
Although Dabura was strong, he couldn't rule the world. Reviving Majin Buu remained the surest path to power.
"Yes, Babidi-sama." Dabura quickly nodded with respect. There was no way he could disobey Babidi, as he was fully under Babidi's control.
As long as he had any thoughts that go against Babidi's will, they would be destroyed instantly.
"Wake up quickly, my Majin Buu!" Babidi once again looked at the egg in front of him.
...
Goten at this time continued his training, unaware of the impending threat. He couldn't feel the aura of guys like Babidi at all. Because they made sure to hide their aura and usually stayed inside their spaceship.
Most of the things about collecting energy were done by controlled humans. Hence, making it impossible for Goten to perceive their presence.
Hum rumble!
Just as Goten finished his training session and was ready to take rest, the sound of a helicopter was heard, signaling an unexpected turn of events.
Immediately afterward, a pink helicopter rapidly approached the area.
Goten glanced up, not taking it seriously. The approaching presence was weak – slightly stronger than ordinary people but not as potent as Chichi's.
The helicopter circled above Goten's head before finally landing. The hurricane created a wave of air on the ground, as debris and dust scattered.
Out stepped a familiar figure.
'Videl?'
'How could it be her?'
Goten's surprise was evident. He hadn't expected Satan and his daughter to be among the survivors after the Cell games eight years ago. Despite the crises they faced, they had somehow managed to survive.
He didn't expect them to be this lucky! Because when Cell left Earth eight years ago, he killed many humans and destroyed many cities.
It was no wonder that Satan was not killed in so many crises in the original Dragon Ball series.
Even when Majin Buu destroyed the earth, almost all ordinary people on the earth died, only that guy Satan survived by chance.
While Goten was surprised, Videl had stepped off her helicopter.
She approached Goten, her purpose clear. Apparently, she was here for him.
