Chapter 183 - Taking the Initiative

At that moment, on Earth, Goten suddenly felt a deep sense of unease rising in his heart. It had been three years since he last experienced such a feeling. The fact that it was returning now could only mean one thing—an incredibly powerful force was targeting them.

'Could it be Zeno and the Grand Priest?' Goten thought.

Of course, that was just speculation. But he had no doubt that this uneasy premonition meant danger. Someone—perhaps more than one person—had set their sights on this timeline's dimension.

He didn't know exactly who it was yet. But one thing was certain. If anyone dared to threaten this dimension, they would pay the price in blood.

The moment this unsettling feeling surfaced, Goten immediately called for all the strongest fighters—Goku, Vegeta, and the others—to gather.

His instincts told him that an intense, possibly devastating battle was imminent. And that battle could not take place on Earth. Nor could it happen in this dimension. Because if warriors of their level clashed at full power, the resulting destruction could wipe out the entire universe without question.

Within moments, Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Hearts, and Bardock all arrived. After three years of rigorous training—both in the training space and in the real world—their strength had grown exponentially.

Now, even if they faced the most formidable opponents, they had the power to fight back.

"What's going on, Goten?" GT Goku asked seriously. "You suddenly called us all here—this must be important."

Goten wouldn't call everyone together unless it was absolutely necessary. Whatever was happening had to be significant.

"Yes, it's something very important," Goten replied with a solemn nod.

"Just now, I felt an overwhelming sense of unease… and if I'm not mistaken, we're being watched by some incredibly powerful individuals."

The atmosphere grew tense.

If an opponent wasn't truly dangerous, Goten wouldn't feel this level of unease. It reminded him of Marcus from before—he hadn't sensed him until he had actually arrived on Earth.

But now, he couldn't detect any direct energy signatures. Only this ominous feeling. And that meant their next opponents were on an entirely different level than Marcus and the others from last time.

"Being targeted?"

"Who is it? Do you have any idea?" Goku and Vegeta asked immediately, their expressions growing serious.

Even Goten was reacting so cautiously—whoever they were about to face must be unimaginably powerful.

The last battle against Marcus and Zamasu had been extremely difficult. If it hadn't been for Goten's intervention, there was a very real chance they all would have been killed.

And now, Goten himself looked troubled. That could only mean one thing—the enemy this time was far stronger than Marcus and Rigor.

"I don't know yet," Goten admitted. "But I have a few suspicions."

Very few beings in existence could make him feel this level of unease. The first possibility was the Grand Priest and Zeno. After all, Goten had killed the Grand Priest's son, his most beloved eldest daughter, and several Gods of Destruction.

To the Grand Priest, this wasn't just a matter of revenge. Goten had directly challenged the authority of the supreme gods themselves. And such a provocation could never be tolerated.

Three years had passed in peace, but perhaps they had finally found this timeline. Then, there was another possibility.

Marcus had once mentioned his father—Dragon God Zalama.

While Goten didn't believe Zalama would concern himself with someone as insignificant as Marcus…

In many fan depictions, Zalama was shown to be incredibly ambitious. If that were true, then this time, he might be targeting their timeline.

The reason was obvious. Goten possessed an exceptionally strong Divine Ki—one of the most powerful in existence. And he wasn't the only one. Several others in this timeline also had incredible Divine Ki within them.

If Zalama and his forces could absorb all of that power…

They would undergo an unimaginable transformation. At that point, they would have enough strength to truly challenge the Grand Priest and Zeno. Other than these possibilities, Goten couldn't think of anyone else capable of making him feel such an overwhelming sense of dread.

A heavy silence filled the air. Then, Vegeta spoke.

"So… what do we do now?"

"Do we prepare ourselves and wait for them to arrive?"

There was a hint of worry in his voice. Any enemy capable of making even Goten feel uneasy had to be beyond powerful. And if they fought on Earth, there was no doubt—it would be obliterated in the crossfire. Perhaps even the entire universe would be destroyed.

This was not an option.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Krillin interjected, his brows furrowed. He had seen enough battles between god-like beings to know how destructive they could be. Even a single stray blast from such a fight could obliterate an entire galaxy.

Let alone a small planet like Earth.

"Krillin is absolutely right," Goten said, nodding in agreement.

"Waiting here would be a foolish decision. If we want to protect the Earth, the only way to do that is to take the initiative."

"We must strike first."

By launching an attack preemptively, they could lead the battle away from Earth and safeguard their loved ones from harm.

"The best way to defend our home is to take the battle to them."

A determined light flashed in Goten's eyes.

They could not afford to sit back and wait for destruction to come to them.

They had to move.

And they had to do it now.
