Chapter 1 - Awakening

The city of Neo-Seoul was ablaze with chaos. Sirens wailed in the distance, mingling with the sounds of gunfire and the distant rumble of explosions. The year was 2037, and the world had become a battleground where survival was a daily struggle.

Lee Geon crouched in the shadows of a crumbling building, his heart pounding as he tried to catch his breath. His life had been ordinary until that fateful night when everything changed. The memory of the explosion that had ripped through his apartment was still fresh in his mind, the shockwave sending him sprawling across the floor. He should have died, but instead, something inside him had awakened.

As he pressed his back against the cold stone wall, Lee could feel a strange energy pulsing through his veins. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced—a raw, untamed power that both exhilarated and terrified him. He had no idea what was happening to him, but he knew one thing: he was no longer the person he used to be.

Footsteps echoed down the alley, and Lee tensed. He peeked around the corner and saw a group of armed men approaching, their faces hidden behind masks. They were members of the Red Fang, a notorious gang that had taken control of the city's underworld. They were hunting him, and they were getting closer.

Lee's heart raced as he searched for an escape route. Just then, a figure appeared in the doorway of a nearby building, beckoning him inside. With no other options, Lee darted across the alley and slipped through the door, closing it quietly behind him.

Inside, the dimly lit room was filled with the clinking of glasses and murmurs of conversation. Lee found himself in a small, dingy restaurant. The figure who had beckoned him in was already seated at a corner table, a faint smile on his face.

"Over here," the man said, motioning for Lee to join him.

Lee approached cautiously and took a seat across from the man. He had short, dark hair and sharp features, his eyes glinting with intelligence and curiosity.

"Name's Kuran," he said, extending a hand. "I figured you could use a place to hide."

"Thanks," Lee replied, shaking his hand. "I'm Lee Geon. I appreciate the help."

Kuran nodded, signaling to the waitress to bring them drinks. "So, what brings you to this part of the city? You don't look like the usual crowd around here."

Lee hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "I'm... trying to understand what's happening to me. There was an explosion, and now I feel... different."

Kuran raised an eyebrow. "Different how?"

Lee glanced around the room, lowering his voice. "I don't know exactly. It's like there's a power inside me that I can't explain. And now there are people after me."

Kuran leaned back in his chair, studying Lee carefully. "Sounds like you've had quite the awakening. The world's a dangerous place these days, especially for someone with unexplained abilities."

The waitress arrived with their drinks, and Kuran took a sip before continuing. "I've seen people like you before. Individuals who suddenly find themselves with extraordinary powers. Some say it's the result of government experiments, others think it's something more... mystical."

Lee frowned. "Do you know what could be happening to me?"

Kuran shrugged. "Hard to say without more information. But I do know that if you're not careful, those powers could make you a target for some very dangerous people."

Lee felt a chill run down his spine. "What should I do?"

Kuran leaned forward, his expression serious. "For now, you need to stay hidden and learn to control whatever's inside you. There are others out there who can help, but you'll need to be cautious. Trust the wrong person, and it could be the end of you."

Lee nodded, feeling a mixture of relief and anxiety. He had found an ally in Kuran, but his journey was just beginning. In a world where danger lurked around every corner, he would need to uncover the truth about his newfound abilities and navigate the treacherous path ahead.
