Mrs. Nicholas casually remarked, "Well, if you must know, this is my son's residence," at which Sydney furrowed her left brow.
"Is Jordan the person you mean?"
"Yes, is that a problem? Do you know my son at all?"
Sydney looked at Mrs. Nicholas with utter surprise; she opened her mouth, barely able to speak, but then she was forced to acknowledge that Jordan had never introduced her to his family or shared any information with her about them.
She was astonished to learn this since Jordan had concealed many secrets from her.
"Did you hear me, Sydney? How did you get to know Jordan?" Sydney jumped out of her reverie when Mrs. Nicholas asked her a peculiar question.
She pursed her lips tightly, shook her head softly, and then let out a laugh.
"Actually, one of the reasons for my hectic schedule is that I am collaborating with Jordan on a project for your business in between. I know your son that way," Sydney answered coolly.
