Sydney narrowed her eyes playfully as she crossed her arms.
"Hey, I saw that wink you just gave Anna," she said with a gasp of realization. "Once again, you two are teaming up against me, aren't you?"
Truce chuckled, a sound full of mischief.
He slid his arm around Sydney's waist, pulling her closer to him. Sydney tilted her head back to meet his gaze, their eyes locking as Truce lowered his head slightly, flashing her a teasing smile.
It took a moment before Truce broke the silence.
"Don't tell me… is that a little bit of envy I see all over that face of yours?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.
"I'm just trying to spoil Anna the way everyone else does. After all, when people learned about her condition, they went all out. They ordered a ton of toys for the world's most beautiful and lovely girl."
