A soft light comes on. Even though it was not bright, she was blinded for a minute. She blinked a few times, and her eyes adjusted.
And she saw him.
Mark is the most loveable person for her.
He stands in the doorway like a dark angel. His hair curls a little around his face, softening the hard perfection of his features. His eyes were trained on her face, and his lips were curved in a slight smile.
He was stunning.
And utterly handsome.
Her instincts had been right—this man was capable of anything.
"Hello, my dear Sarah," he said softly, entering the room.
Her mouth was dry like the desert. She can't even gather enough saliva to talk. So she just watched him stalk toward her like a hungry tiger approaches its prey.
And she was ready for his love.
He came closer, and she took a step back. Then another and another, until she was pressed against the wall. She was still huddling in the blanket.
