Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: You're a Bit Too Extreme, The Sin of Pride

"Use the Mysterious Wheel of Sight!"

Indra said in a deep voice.

As these words were spoken, a look of hesitation appeared on the handsome face of Vishnu. His gaze swept over the assembled Asura army as if struggling to decide, and he let out a long sigh.

"Isn't that a bit too extreme?"

Vishnu said.

Killing hundreds of thousands of Asura just like that, how could this be right?!

"This is not extreme at all!"

Indra shook his head.

"As warriors, they are not at fault, but these Asura are aiding Jinmu in ruling the world with a heart of greed; they are indeed warriors not following the Righteous Law!"

"Moreover, with Jinmu alone being able to suppress the numerous Devas, if these Asura are dead, he might be forced to return and focus on reproducing!"

At that moment, the Devas suddenly saw the light and began to fan the flames.

"Right, if the Supreme Lord could get rid of these Asura, that would be great!"

"Then the Heavenly Realm will be secure! The Mortal Realm will have peace!"

"Such an excellent plan, truly worthy of the Heavenly Emperor!"

It makes sense, indeed!

These Asura are not nearly as strong as Jinmu.

A small part of them are almost as powerful as these Devas, but the majority are on the same level as Gandharva, just ordinary lesser gods.

If Vishnu were to act now and eliminate this Asura army, then even if Jinmu were to win, it would be of no consequence.

Upon hearing this, Vishnu couldn't help but bow his head, pondering for a moment, his face revealing a contemplative expression,

This actually makes a lot of sense!

He wasn't fond of the Asura to begin with; they were descendants of Brahma and not his followers, so he had little affection for them.

Now, hearing these words, he was stirred.

But soon after, he felt this was not something to be done at this time.

It was the beginning period of creation, the Era of Perfection, within the Three Realms where all beings flourished, a vibrant scene with everything in full bloom.

The Era of Perfection would last for 1,728,000 years!

If he were to indeed eliminate most of the Asura, the resulting karma would cause the world to skip past the Era of Perfection, as if it had jumped from youth, missing a period of growth, moving directly into its middle and later years.

If he really did it, entangled by that karma, Shiva might personally intervene and break with him to stop him.

He must not do this!

As Vishnu was pondering, he immediately shook his head.

"???"

Seeing this, Indra couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed.

He wanted to see a river of blood!

In the Mahabharata, the Era of Perfection had long passed, and Vishnu had personally entered the fray as the dark-lord, directly instigating the great war between the Pandavas and the Kuru Clan. Over a billion warriors gathered on the field of Kurukshetra, starting the battle known as the War of Kurukshetra, resulting in a bloodbath.

Back then, the dark-lord had personally persuaded Arjuna to fight, saying that those not following the Righteous Law should be killed.

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill!

And so, both sides shed rivers of blood on the field of Kurukshetra!

"!!!"

The Sukhacara Sage couldn't help but inhale sharply.

This Indra really is ruthless!

The Devas and Asura are both sons of Kashyapa the Immortal, yet now Indra wants Vishnu to wipe out most of the Asura. Regardless of whether it could succeed, just this intention is already outrageously insane.

Too terrifying!

"Master, what do we do now?"

The Asura Vajra Body, another of Kashyapa's children, couldn't help but turn and look to the Sukhacara Sage beside him.

They were warlike but not foolish!

With one of the Three Aspects Deity standing with the opposing Devas, if Vishnu really did that, wouldn't they be doomed?

Sukhacara's eyes darkened with thought, turning to look at Jinmu.

By this time, Jinmu had become extremely enraged, staring intently at Vishnu, as if he was about to make a move.

"If he acts, and Vishnu finds some blessed weakness in Jinmu, that would be bad!"

Sukhacara thought to himself.

He stepped forward and flew to the side of Asura Jinmu, then spoke to Vishnu.

"I propose a temporary ceasefire, to first churn the Milk Sea and restore the power of the gods and Asura."

Sukhacara said.

As soon as he finished speaking, Jinmu immediately glared at Sukhacara Sage with dissatisfaction.

Sukhacara maintained a cold expression, his face as rigid as a block of ice, and glared back.

Jinmu narrowed his eyes and snorted coldly, then turned his head away without speaking.

"Agreed!"

Vishnu nodded slightly, his body emitting streaks of golden light, and then vanished from the spot.

Sukhacara Sage let out a sigh of relief.

He really feared that Vishnu would personally enter the fray; Vishnu was known as the slayer of Asuras, with countless Asura falling at his hands—there were not a thousand, there were at least eight hundred. His enmity with Vishnu stemmed from Vishnu's use of the Mysterious Wheel of Sight to slay the Asura.

At that moment, Sukhacara Sage shifted his gaze to the other gods.

The gods were not used to his cold and rigid demeanor.

The Sun God turned his head, staring at the pitch-black waves atop the Milk Sea; Fire God Agni looked around, not wanting to make eye contact; Wind God Vayu cautiously watched Sukhacara Sage; and Water God Varuna bowed his head in a daze.

Indra stared at Sukhacara with curiosity.

If he remembered correctly,

in the future, Sukhacara Sage would undertake austere penances to Shiva and obtain a spell to resurrect Asuras, using it to confront the bliss-bearing Devas.

Regardless of how the King of Asura fell in battle, he would guide them and lead the Asura in assaults against the Devas.

This old fellow was quite capable!

By comparison, the Ritual Master Immortal, as a guide to the Devas, seemed of little use in battling Asuras?

However, his relationship with the Ritual Master Immortal was extremely good; the two of them could be called the best of friends.

Sukhacara Sage and Indra exchanged glances, their eyes interlocking in the void.

Finally, his gaze fell on the Ritual Master Immortal.

He snorted coldly, withdrew his gaze, and turned to Jinmu to say, "Heavenly Emperor Indra is not easy to deal with now, so you'd better be careful."

Jinmu scoffed.

"Rest assured!"

"My blessing is invincible. It's not just the mere Heavenly Emperor, even if the Three Aspects Deity were to come, they couldn't harm a single hair on my head."

The tone of Asura Jinmu was exceedingly arrogant.

Hmph!

Upon hearing this, Sukhacara Sage snorted coldly.

"You are too arrogant, you'll end up dead at their hands sooner or later!"

Having said that, Sukhacara Sage didn't wish to speak any further, just to protect the remaining Asuras was enough.

Now that Vishnu had entered the battle, there was no chance of stealing away Goddess Lakshmi!

It would be best to obtain the Amrita.

Thinking so, a great wave suddenly rose on the Milk Sea, with wings that shaded the sky and dazzling golden feathers sweeping across the Milk Sea, numerous Gandharvas, wearing their armor of war and holding their Divine Bows and Divine Spears, stood on the back of the giant Garuda, looking across from afar.

"The Devas Army has arrived!"

Seeing the army of gods descend, Indra's heart did not relax.

After stirring various treasures out of the Milk Sea, there was still a great battle to be fought between the Asura and the Devas, which was extremely dangerous.

Even without mentioning this battle!

There would still be a terrible poison stirred out from the depths of the Milk Sea.

Helakela!

"I must be cautious!"

Indra thought to himself.
