Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Jinmu, Growth Equipment

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

"Hmph! How dare you compare yourself to our beloved Supreme Lord!"

Garuda huffed coldly, standing tall and proud without a trace of fear on his face. He took two steps back and stared defiantly at Indra.

The proud Garuda Bird would never submit to Indra!

"I will find a way to lift the curse myself!"

With that, Garuda spread his wings and flew off, his gigantic wings ostentatiously sweeping across as he soared through the sky, bursting out of the Heavenly Realm.

"Ah~"

The Ritual Master Immortal watched Garuda's retreating figure and could not help but shake his head and sigh deeply.

With his departure, how could his mission to reconcile be accomplished?

Now he could only advise Indra and the other Devas to seek out Lord Vishnu in the Milk Sea.

"Indra, now that you gods have lost your power and Lady Master Goddess Lakshmi has vanished because of you, the Asuras have also lost their power, which is disadvantageous for the development of the universe, you must go quickly and pay homage to the Supreme Lord..."

The Ritual Master Immortal beseeched earnestly.

Indra listened to the words of the Ritual Master Immortal and suddenly paused.

"Wait!"

His eyes began to twinkle, and he abruptly raised his hand, asking, "What did you say just now?"

"You must go quickly and pay homage to the Supreme Lord?!"

The Ritual Master Immortal replied with confusion.

"No, the sentence before that."

"This is disadvantageous for the development of the world?"

"No, the one before that one!"

Indra waved his hand and continued.

Hearing this, the Ritual Master Immortal blinked and pondered, "The Asuras have also lost their power?!"

Snap!

Indra clapped his hands together, making a crisp sound.

Enlightenment shone in his eyes as he murmured to himself.

"If the Asuras have already lost their power, they probably won't attack the Heavenly Realm anymore. In that case, I don't need to worry too much."

Indra felt slightly relieved in his heart.

But he still did not dare to be negligent.

As far as he knew, this era was one of the explosive growth of all creatures and spirits, with life on Earth burgeoning and countless races flourishing. Protector God Vishnu had so far only incarnated as Matsya, the divine fish.

Matsya, in the midst of the flood, pulled the ark and saved Manu, the progenitor of mankind.

The second incarnation, Kurma, the divine tortoise, had not yet appeared since the Devas and Asuras had yet to churn the Milk Sea.

Therefore, the rest of the incarnations had not yet manifested!

"Now, the current King of Asura on Earth is Jinmu, the first generation of Asura!"

"Jinmu Asura possessed the strength to lift the entire Earth, imprisoning the Goddess of the Earth and causing the waters to flood the lands, and it was only Vishnu's boar incarnation that managed to slay him, even he was affected by the curse."

"Probably, perhaps, possibly stronger than I can manage!"

Indra contemplated within his heart.

Now, the Devas and Asuras were at odds, but only their subordinates and lesser Asuras were engaged in minor skirmishes.

The main gods themselves had not yet clashed with the King of Asura.

Indra could not fathom Jinmu Asura's true strength!

Both being sons of Jiayebo Immortal, Jinmu's strength was in no way inferior to theirs, and if Jinmu were to undergo severe asceticism and obtain a blessing from Brahma, then they would likely not be a match for him.

"We must secure the blessing first!"

"It's all Garuda's fault, wasting the power of my asceticism!"

Indra felt inwardly annoyed.

He had been crouching in the Heavenly Realm, hardly completing an ascetic practice when that fellow came to disturb him, truly irritating.

"Indra!"

The Ritual Master Immortal, seeing Indra seemingly lost in thought, spoke out with concern, "What's the matter? Are you worried about the Asuras?"

Indra nodded and stealthily glanced at Sun God Surya.

He was indeed worried, he needed to find a way to claim the Solar Armor for himself.

However, his Power of Asceticism was insufficient at the moment, he feared it would not convince Surya to endow the armor with its various abilities.

It seemed he had no choice but to lower his demands!

"Indeed!"

"This generation's King of Asura, Jinmu, is my half-brother from the same father, yet I do not wish for them to ascend to the Heavenly Realm and witness fratricide."

"Garuda forced my hand to cast a curse, hoping to erase his arrogance."

"As for the Asuras, should they truly assault the Heavenly Realm, I hope to bear the burden for all Devas. Let the power of the Asuras fall upon me, may it awaken their true goodness and beauty!"

Indra feigned a sorrowful expression.

I hope ≠ I really do!

First, secure the blessing and then we'll talk!

Upon saying this, Indra's tone shifted as he pressed his hands together toward the Sun God.

"Praise be to Surya!"

"I still hope, Surya, that you could bestow blessing on my Divine Armor. This armor has a hundred layers, each requiring a thousand years of Power of Asceticism to penetrate, let me endure their power."

Indra spoke gravely.

He did not ask for the original Thousand-Layered Solar Armor, but for only a hundred layers, also omitting the ability of each shattered layer to instantly kill an opponent.

Hearing this, the gods around them couldn't help but show expressions of surprise, shock, and gratitude.

The Ritual Master Immortal's eyes widened in astonishment, sizing up Indra as if seeing him for the first time.

Was this the Indra he knew, who never shied away from making trouble bigger?

"I originally thought Indra was as prideful as I am, but I didn't expect him to be so benevolent. The last time he came asking for the Solar Armor, it was for this reason!"

Surya thought to himself.

"Praise Heavenly Emperor Indra!"

The Fire God Agni also couldn't help feeling a surge of reverence, pressed his hands together and said.

The surrounding Water God, Wind God, Gandharva, Apsaras, and other attendant gods immediately echoed in unison.

"Praise Heavenly Emperor Indra!"

Amid the chorus of praise, the Sun God Surya smiled and joined the accolades.

Subsequently, Surya's expression gradually grew solemn.

"Indra!"

"Your asceticism is not yet complete, this Divine Armor cannot be bestowed upon you!"

Surya paused for a moment, then continued.

"But I have promised to fulfill any blessing you ask of me!"

At this moment, Surya's dark visage seemed to be lit with streams of light, his divinity soaring, dreamy and illusory, as if the laws of heaven and earth were descending upon him, entering a special state of Brahman attunement.

Surya slowly raised his right hand to his forehead, his palm facing Indra.

"I shall grant you the Golden Solar Armor!"

"This Solar Armor shall be forged with your Power of Asceticism. For every thousand years of ascetic power you gain, you may construct one layer of the armor, and all its strength and effects are yours to bestow."

"As you wish!"

As his words fell, a beam of golden light suddenly flew out from Surya's palm.

Whoosh!

The golden light floated gently, landing on Indra.

A dark golden Divine Armor appeared on Indra, splendidly lustrous, shimmering with light, carved with suns, stars, and the shapes of thunder and lightning, entwined together, representing the friendship between Surya and Indra.

Indra's eyes brightened.

This was not the Golden Solar Armor he had sought before, but in some ways, it was even more precious.

This Golden Solar Armor was a growing equipment!
