In the Northwest Region, somewhere in a Gobi desert, desolation and silence prevailed.
The scorching sun hung high in the sky, the sand and dust swept up the sparse rocks and yellow vegetation under the caress of the hot wind, and occasionally, the white bones of some unidentifiable creatures could be seen poking out from the dunes.
Deep within this stretch of desert, there was a cave dwelling in which the Sand Scorpion Tribe resided. This cave, known as the Scorpion Cave, was forbidden territory for human cultivators.
The entrance to the Scorpion Cave was hidden beneath a massive sand dune, appearing ordinary from the outside but revealing a different world within.
If one ventured into the cave, they'd be greeted by an icy chill that starkly contrasted the scorching heat outside. The interior of the cave twisted and turned like a vast labyrinth, with luminescent crystals embedded in the walls to provide a faint glow that lit the dark space.
