For Unicorn Polly, the changes that occurred at the Cloud Dream Ranch were a mixed bag.
The bad news was that her lineage was indeed related to horses. The warhorses in her territory had been irradiated by the power of the Pseudo-Dragon and had evolved accordingly.
Thus, she was not a unique magical creature.
Like all Phantom Beasts and Pseudo-Dragons, she had evolved from ordinary wild beasts and had no extraordinary origin.
The good news was that all horses that underwent evolution were white, so strictly speaking, not all horses were related to her by blood.
This was the greatest comfort she could take in relation to her own lineage.
"Roland, could you step away for a moment? I'd like to spend some time alone with Polly," Russell dismissed his inquisitively inclined brother Roland.
Everyone in the Fluorescent Fungi Family knew that Unicorn Polly did not like being considered a horse.
