In the southeastern corner of the Shadowflame Duchy, there lies a warm enclave called Golden Prairie, where the land is overgrown with peat that brings rich nutrients to the territory.
Thus, when the ancestors of the Golden Cap family first discovered this place, they exclaimed that it was as if the land was strewn with gold.
Hence the name Golden Prairie.
From generation to generation, the current master of the Golden Prairie, Baron Gold, is the Peat Dragon Knight, Davis Golden Cap.
After the Dragon Birth Festival, Baron Davis, finding it boring to stay in his domain, rode his Peat Dragon to the Snowfields, and kept pushing southeast until he left the borders of the Shadowflame Duchy and crossed out of the country.
"He's really hiding far away, last year's hunt left some behind, and this year I've had to leave the country to find the Snow Demon!" Davis lamented on the back of the Peat Dragon.
The Peat Dragon hummed softly in response to Davis's lament.
