There was just one area, on the hind part of its thigh, where the flame seemed to have been extinguished, revealing a black spot.
The black spot was small, especially in comparison to the seven to eight-meter-long body of the Blue Crystal Dragon. It was just a tiny black spot, but its presence severely restricted the flame pattern at the thigh, diminishing the mystique.
Furthermore, upon closer inspection, Russell found another kind of light within the black spot, concealed by it and too obscured to identify.
