She understood human nature, but apparently didn't understand marriage law well enough.
"No," Su Huai shook his head, "the party at fault in a marriage may get a smaller share of the property, but at most it's still 46 percent. Our law doesn't allow for leaving with nothing."
"Ah, that's too unreasonable!"
Su Huai just wanted to take Gu Jiuyue to see the bustling scene for some fun, not to encounter such depressing and dirty affairs, but that's society for you.
"This damn world is never influenced by personal will. We can only try to come out on top amongst the rotten, beyond that, there's no other way."
Su Huai revealed a corner of a pessimist's core, yet ironically, it was Gu Jiuyue, who should have been the pessimist, who suddenly showed a positive side.
"Let's not go so far. Anyway, I think she should be punished," she said.
Facing Gu, eyes alight with a trace of defiance, Su Huai was intrigued, "So, what do you want to do?"
