In other games, when a character dies, the game automatically switches to another character, and you only respawn after all your characters on the field are dead.
But "Endless Fantasy Legend 2" is obviously a bit different. It introduces a main character, who is the first in the lineup, and right now, that default character is the Hero.
When the other characters die, you can continue fighting, but when the lead character dies, it's considered battle failure and you return to the respawn point.

The Hero has both Wood attribute and Fire attribute. Combining these should make for a great combo when fighting most monsters, but against Fire attribute monsters, that same Wood attribute skill that buffs you becomes purely a traitorous skill.
