Sun Jack finished speaking, and not only did it-z stand frozen on the spot, but everyone else was also looking at him in surprise.
Tapai, standing by, directly asked, "Is this really the plan you mentioned earlier?"
"Shut up!" Sun Jack secretly messaged the other person before looking up at it-z on the screen and saying, "I am Lan Meng! Lan Meng is me! As my subordinate, do you really dare to kill me? If you kill me, who will pay your salary?"
it-z was completely baffled by Sun Jack's series of moves, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "He's my boss? I'm killing my boss."
But he quickly regained his composure. "Wait a minute, wait a minute, something's not right here. Where have I seen this episode before?"
Suddenly, he clapped his hands hard, his eyes widened, and he pointed at Sun Jack, yelling, "Sun Jack! You think I would believe you? Don't pull that trick on me! I have seen that episode of 'Revolution Sun Jack' with Sun Zizhan! You motherfucker, using the same trick and still expecting to play both sides of the story?"
"And this is clearly someone else's brainchild, Guan Sanke's, and you dare to just plagiarize it? How shameless can you be?"
Hearing this, Sun Jack continued, "If you don't trust me, go ahead and check! Check my background thoroughly! See if you can find out!" What kind of person deserves to be sent to space?"
"Do you really think this is a film shoot? What kind of film needs such a huge investment? Do you think what you think is really what you think?" Sun Jack had moved the words previously spoken by Tapai here.
it-z furrowed his brows, rubbing his head. "You are Lan Meng, what a joke, how could you possibly be Lan Meng?"
Though he said this, he was somewhat apprehensive; even if there was a possibility, he dared not be careless.
Soon, under his hesitation, the offensive near EASA gradually eased.
"Go check on Sun Jack's background for me, the more detailed, the better," it-z ordered his assistant AI.
He wanted to get it clear, the clearer, the better, as he wasn't going anywhere yet, no rush.
Soon, the information about Sun Jack appeared on it-z's system interface, starting from Li Jack's clone being placed in Metropolis, all the way to the establishment of the script for "Revolution Sun Jack."
It showed clearly that Li Jack was Sun Jack's predecessor, and Sun Jack's space travel records were still there.
The script for "Sun Jack" read like this: a thousand-year-sealed human from the Previous Era wakes up from outer space, falls into Metropolis with a prehistoric robot, and embarks on an adventure to fight against the capital in a thrilling story.
Everything seemed normal, all the records were there, but the more it-z looked, the more he felt something was off.
"Think about it, who earns the privilege to fall from the sky, who is qualified to be so close to Lan Meng! Such proximity could pose a huge security risk to Lan Meng's safety; the only possibility is that I am Lan Meng myself!" Sun Jack continued to weave his fiction, further deepening it-z's suspicion.
Following that, Sun Jack clutched his head with a pained expression, as if trying to recall information.
"Lan Meng! A survivor of the Previous Era! Do you really think he just wanted to be an ordinary capitalist? Then you underestimate him! He saw that the ultimate choice of capital was wrong, so he became me, wanting me to try another path!"
This prompted it-z to hesitate even more, but luckily, he had a last resort.
"Sun Jack, although I can't say whether what you are saying is true or false, you definitely can't imagine that I can get in touch with Lan Meng directly. True or false, I'll just ask and know."
Then, he instantly perked up and sent a message directly to Lan Meng.
"Boss, Sun Jack says he is you, is there some sort of misunderstanding?"
Amidst anxious waiting, it-z finally received a response.
"?"
"Question mark? What does a question mark mean? Fuck," it-z took a breath and began to speculate on the intention behind his boss's message.
"Question mark denotes confusion, does it mean my boss also doesn't know if Sun Jack is really Lan Meng? Impossible, right?"
"Boss, what should I do next?" it-z asked again, his heart pounding with fear.
After a prolonged wait, the reply finally came. "Kill him."
Upon receiving the order, it-z's wavering heart instantly steadied, and he contacted Sun Jack once again.
But this time, his tone was distinctly different. "Jack, stop stalling, it's useless. I've contacted the boss directly, you are definitely not him."
"I've told you, the same trick won't work twice, goodbye." As it-z waved his hand lightly, the previously paused onslaught intensified significantly.
At that moment, he saw Sun Jack in the screen give a slight smile, "Really? Who says the same path can't be used twice? At least it delayed you for quite some time. Don't worry about the cliché, as long as it works."
Sun Jack was smiling in the screen, but the voice came from behind it-z, and with the voice, a Laser Blade rested on his neck.
As the Laser Blade slowly turned, Sun Jack, no longer using the Mimetic Camouflage, appeared in front of it-z. "General, you've lost."
From the beginning, Sun Jack hadn't expected the other side to believe him; he just wanted to locate it-z's position.
However, unexpectedly, it-z started laughing, louder and louder, almost unable to catch his breath, showing no fear of the blade Sun Jack held at his neck.
"I really can't understand you, are you really naive or just pretending? Do you think someone of my level would actually come to the front lines personally?"
Saying this, he patted his chest, "This is a wetware terminal, my friend. My body is lying comfortably on the other side of Earth, protected in multiple layers within a cultivation tank, unaffected by any physical threats you pose."
"If my real body were here, do you think you could get within half a kilometer of me? Not to criticize you, Sun Jack, but what era do you think it is, still executing decapitation strategies? Do you think we are living in the Middle Ages?"
However, Sun Jack watched the other laugh and chuckled himself, "Decapitation missions, don't necessarily aim to kill the enemy."
"What?" it-z did not quite understand what he said.
"Isn't this body cloned from your own DNA?" Sun Jack eyed the strange body up and down.
"What? You want to inject a genetic virus from a distance?" it-z spread his hands, displaying no fear.
Yet, Sun Jack now showed a confident smile. "I didn't come all this way just to exchange idle banter with you. In fact, I have already won. I've found a way to make you suffer more than death itself."
