Chapter 513 - Chapter 523 Hope Lily

With his right hand holding Hopelily, Sun Jack's heart was pounding rapidly, his system's microexpression software running at full capacity as he scanned the facial changes of Number 43 on the screen without pause.

Even though Old Six's plan was far-fetched, there was no other option left; they could only hope this absurd method would work.

When he saw Number 43's expression gradually shift from impassive to shocked, Sun Jack lightly tapped Hopelily on the back. "Don't freeze up, say your lines."

The very next second, Sun Jack watched as tears streamed down Hopelily's face—her choking up as if wanting to say something, yet unable to speak—Sun Jack could not help but marvel at her professional acting chops.

"Hope? You're alive? Are you really still alive?!" Number 43 suddenly became agitated.

"Yes!" Hopelily nodded frantically. "I don't know how I woke up! But it seems I'm really still alive, 34! Where are you now? I miss you so much!"

"Don't worry! Don't worry! We'll be reunited soon! We'll see each other very soon!"

No sooner had Number 43 finished speaking, he saw the screen violently shake—the energy shield over the Himalayas was about to be breached!

Seeing his subordinates still attacking the place where his beloved was, Number 43 felt an instant splitting headache and immediately hurried to contact all units, "Stop! Damn it! All combat units, cease fire!!"

Following his order, the fierce battlefield gradually calmed down, giving the teetering Himalayas a moment to breathe.

When it quieted down outside, Sun Jack spoke to Number 43, "See? Number 43? Your wife isn't dead!"

"Just let us go now, and I can reunite you two."

Number 43 nodded repeatedly, seeming completely flustered. Just as he was about to order to open a path through the siege, he stopped at the very moment he was about to speak.

"Wait! Something's not right!" As Number 43 suddenly stood still, Sun Jack's heart skipped a beat.

"This doesn't add up! You're lying to me! If Hopelily is alive, why think of using her to make peace with me only now! Why didn't you bring her out earlier!" Number 43 found the inconsistency.

"I was locked up in Prison No. 3! How would I know she hadn't died? After I got out, you had already joined the FFP; how could I contact you?" Sun Jack rapidly improvised a response.

Meanwhile, the bored Poet walked over, patted Hopelily's shoulder, and came up with a hellish idea.

"Why waste so much talk on this kind of person, are you going to let us out or not? If you don't, believe me or not, I'll have Sun Jack rape your girlfriend? Fuck, that would be really interesting, just thinking about that scene gets my inspiration flowing!"

Old Six, who was intently filming, heard this and became furious, picked up the camera he was holding, jumped high, and smashed it against the Poet's head.

"Go to hell! That's my mother!!"

"What are you doing! You guys! Shut the fuck up!" Sun Jack glared at both of them and then looked back at Number 43 on the screen, "Are you going to open the way or not?"

Next to him, Hopelily was also crying out loud, begging the other side to hurry up and rescue her.

Hearing Hopelily's plea, Tapai quietly gave a thumbs up, "Professional."

Faced with his girlfriend's earnest pleading, Number 43 ultimately wavered. He couldn't gamble with the revived Hopelily.

Moreover, the high credibility of Sun Jack, once Borrow King, made him believe that Sun Jack would keep his promise.

However, just as he was about to confirm the truth again, he suddenly discovered a black shadow with an & sign springing up right in front of him—it was his boss.

"What a piece of trash, can't even play the scapegoat properly!" an & sign's voice of disgust rang in number 43's ears.

Although he was using number 43 as a pawn, & was silently following behind, just in case something unexpected happened.

Thankfully, I was professional enough to secretly keep an eye on things from behind; otherwise, this perfect opportunity would have been ruined by that bastard.

"Remember! You have no way back! Don't forget the nano-toxin in your body! If I say die, you die; if I say live, you live! You're in this position only because I need someone to take the blame! To put it bluntly! You're nothing but my dog!"

Faced with the humiliation, number 43 dared not talk back, but looking at Hopelily on the screen, he wondered what if it were true. "But..."

"There are no 'buts'! You saw your girlfriend die in your arms! Were you an idiot then? Can't even tell the living from the dead? Can a dead person come back to life? Do you abandon all basic logic when you're emotional?"

Under & sign's rapid reminders, number 43 quickly cooled down, looking again at the image of Hopelily, he clenched his teeth and closed his eyes.

"All combat units, activate level one battle mode! Crush Sun Jack with full force!"

With number 43's order, the extinguished flames of battle rekindled, and amidst the artillery shells and various colored lasers, fighters and drones resumed their dance across the sky.

"43! Are you okay? What's wrong?" Hopelily urgently shouted at number 43 on the screen.

"Stop acting, I knew it wouldn't work, this guy may be a moron, but the people behind him definitely aren't fools." Feeling the increasing tremors beneath his feet, Sun Jack summoned his laser weapon, preparing to fight to the death.

"Uh...." I wasn't acting, Linda Linda's voice came from behind Sun Jack.

Hearing this, everyone nearby suddenly widened their eyes, looked at Linda Linda, then back at the anxious Hopelily.

"What the hell? Cyberetic resurrection? Σヽ(゚Д゚;)ノ" Poet shouted in surprise from the side.

Sun Jack rushed over, took out a data cable, and plugged it directly into the neural port of Hopelily—various records and data instantly appeared in his system.

"It's not a resurrection! It's the previous Enchanting Demon Software being reactivated! What's controlling her now is an AI!"

This body belonged to Old Six's Mother, and the reason it moved at all was that her corpse's brain had been fitted with Enchanting Demon Software by the gang, for prostitution.

Now, it seemed like Linda Linda's interfacing had inadvertently rebooted the software?!

Although he didn't know what happened, obviously, this was an opportunity! Maybe it was the perfect chance to escape!

Sun Jack quickly grabbed Hopelily and shouted to number 43 on the screen, "Hey! Look carefully, your wife really came back to life! This time it's real! Not fake!"

But number 43, with a fierce expression, cursed at Sun Jack with an extremely vulgar curse and then abruptly hung up the communication.

"It's over, completely no hope now," Poet said, stretching lazily and walking outside. "You guys keep busy, I'll go surrender first."

The next second, a violent tremor erupted, and under the immense centrifugal force, everyone present was flung violently against the wall.

The entire Himalayas resounded with the terrifying screeching sound of metal folding.
