Tapai's words quickly snapped Old Six back into reality.
"Everyone, hold up, stop gathering material for a bit; something seems off here," Old Six called out to the other streamers over the network.
Well, fuck me, gathering material and ending up on my own boss's doorstep.
"Sun Jack? You sure? As far as I know, he's never even been to this city," Sun Jack wondered aloud, not making sense from any angle.
"You, come here! All of you!" San Jiao furiously headed towards the city before them.
Upon arriving at a warehouse, the dust-covered electronic door shot upwards revealing an array of prosthetic bodies to Sun Jack and the others.
San Jiao said angrily, "Look at this! Look at all this shit! Do you know how much fucking money I spent to stock this stuff?! I was hoping to make a killing! And guess what? This fucking animal Sun Jack just starts giving away DNA modification tech for free! All this stock is now fucking worthless!"
With tears brimming in his eyes, he pounded on his metal body, "I'm not a cyborg, nor a mercenary; this is all stock that I couldn't sell, and I had no choice but to use it myself!"
"You can't just look at it that way, you have to see the bigger picture. Sun Jack sharing the DNA technology for free has a huge impact on the redistribution of the means of production," Priest tried to explain.
"Bigger picture? I'm fucking ready to jump off a building, and you're still on about the bigger picture?" San Jiao roared, grabbing a mechanical heart from the shelf and hurling it violently to the ground. "To hell with the bigger picture! I just want to survive! I want my kid to grow up normal!"
Priest was about to say more but was stopped by Sun Jack, who felt responsible for the situation.
He didn't try to justify himself; he knew that giving away DNA coding technology would harm some people.
Tapai was right, with his current status, whatever he did, some people would die because of him.
But the situation wasn't irreversible. "I'll take all of this stuff," he inquired the cursing San Jiao.
San Jiao's stream of swear words suddenly stopped; he looked at Sun Jack in shock, then suddenly bent his knees and dropped to the ground, kneeling before Sun Jack.
"Dad!"
Sun Jack was left somewhat speechless by his action.
"By buying this stock, you're saving my life! You're my real dad!!"
As he spoke, San Jiao offered up an e-cigarette with both hands, "Dad! Smoke mine! I put drugs in it for a stronger hit!"
