Chapter 489 - Chapter 499 Begin

"Old Six, cut that segment, don't stream it,"

Tapai's words quickly snapped Old Six back into reality.

"Everyone, hold up, stop gathering material for a bit; something seems off here," Old Six called out to the other streamers over the network.

Well, fuck me, gathering material and ending up on my own boss's doorstep.

"Sun Jack? You sure? As far as I know, he's never even been to this city," Sun Jack wondered aloud, not making sense from any angle.

"You, come here! All of you!" San Jiao furiously headed towards the city before them.

Upon arriving at a warehouse, the dust-covered electronic door shot upwards revealing an array of prosthetic bodies to Sun Jack and the others.

San Jiao said angrily, "Look at this! Look at all this shit! Do you know how much fucking money I spent to stock this stuff?! I was hoping to make a killing! And guess what? This fucking animal Sun Jack just starts giving away DNA modification tech for free! All this stock is now fucking worthless!"

With tears brimming in his eyes, he pounded on his metal body, "I'm not a cyborg, nor a mercenary; this is all stock that I couldn't sell, and I had no choice but to use it myself!"

"You can't just look at it that way, you have to see the bigger picture. Sun Jack sharing the DNA technology for free has a huge impact on the redistribution of the means of production," Priest tried to explain.

"Bigger picture? I'm fucking ready to jump off a building, and you're still on about the bigger picture?" San Jiao roared, grabbing a mechanical heart from the shelf and hurling it violently to the ground. "To hell with the bigger picture! I just want to survive! I want my kid to grow up normal!"

Priest was about to say more but was stopped by Sun Jack, who felt responsible for the situation.

He didn't try to justify himself; he knew that giving away DNA coding technology would harm some people.

Tapai was right, with his current status, whatever he did, some people would die because of him.

But the situation wasn't irreversible. "I'll take all of this stuff," he inquired the cursing San Jiao.

San Jiao's stream of swear words suddenly stopped; he looked at Sun Jack in shock, then suddenly bent his knees and dropped to the ground, kneeling before Sun Jack.

"Dad!"

Sun Jack was left somewhat speechless by his action.

"By buying this stock, you're saving my life! You're my real dad!!"

As he spoke, San Jiao offered up an e-cigarette with both hands, "Dad! Smoke mine! I put drugs in it for a stronger hit!"

"No thanks, go calculate the cost of the goods, and give me the specifics on the quantity and models," Sun Jack said.

"Yes! No problem at all!" San Jiao was so overjoyed he was nearly jumping for joy.

"What do you want all this stock for? These are all prosthetic bodies, and with body DNA enhancement technology, these are obsolete," Tapai asked.

"Prosthetics have more than one use. Get the AAs over here," Sun Jack started explaining, and Tapai immediately understood with an 'Oh'.

With the extremely fast transportation of the Hover Shuttle, it didn't take long for six AAs to arrive, and of course, not all six were AAs; there were also BBs, CCs, DDs, and GGs.

"Can't you put your energy into something productive?" Sun Jack patted the AA on the back a bit too hard. "Boss, that hurts."

"Go, turn all these functional prosthetics into combat prosthetics, the more brutal the killing power, the better, the wider the range, the better."

"Yes, Boss!"

Seeing the strict entry restrictions into the city before, Sun Jack had thought that if it were so stringent, how the weapons for rebellion were to be resolved, large-scale lethal weapons probably wouldn't be easy to bring in.

But luckily, his luck turned up just as he was about to sleep.

"Priest, you take people to guard the surroundings to prevent this place from being discovered, and also have the Wild Men who come here to collect their equipment."

"No problem," Priest turned and walked away, and began to contact those orphans from the orphanage through the network.

Soon, with the efforts of the AAs and the assistance of Tapai's botnets, the functional prosthetics of San Jiao were quickly transformed into combat prosthetics.

Although they looked very crude, like a pile of mechanical junk put together, AA patted her chest and assured that their power was absolutely shocking.

Even if the power of a single prosthetic wasn't enough, she could combine them, like assembling various parts of mechanical prosthetics into a humanoid exoskeleton that could envelop the entire body, greatly enhancing defensive and attack capabilities.

Plus, she guaranteed that everything would operate mechanically, without leaving any opportunities for enemy hackers to exploit.

Although the downside was a shorter operating time, for Sun Jack's purpose, this negative effect was almost non-existent.

Soon, Wild Men arrived one after another in the warehouse of San Jiao, beginning to claim the combat prosthetics.

In the meantime, San Jiao, beside them, was so happy he nearly wept with joy; he didn't care at all what these people were up to. He only cared about receiving the payment.

You could say they were going to seize the Himalayas, but as long as he got paid, he'd rush to the forefront when action was taken. "Daddy~ Everything has been modified, so about the money..."

"Don't rush." Sun Jack immediately contacted UO to arrange for a sum of Virtual Coin from the Himalayas.

But Sun Jack understood that these combat prosthetics weren't enough, nowhere near enough.

"Go, find your peers, those who share your fate, I want all of their mechanical prosthetics." Sun Jack began to expand his operations.

"Alright! No problem!" San Jiao nodded again and again.

Wait, don't go yet, I haven't finished speaking. Do you know which district is having the toughest time?" Sun Jack hadn't come here for this issue, even the best prosthetics needed people to use them. If public sentiment didn't rise, relying on themselves alone wouldn't work.

Soon, everyone began doing their jobs, with the As handling the modifications, Tapai and UO starting internal network linking and cyber security, Priest Steelheart in charge of physical security, and Sun Jack going off to do other things with Old Six.

Guided by San Jiao, Sun Jack reached the largest slum in the Himalayas, and smelling the stench of excrement in the air, coupled with violent graffiti, he knew he had found the place.

"Are you sure this is the worst district?" Sun Jack said, reaching out to pat San Jiao's neck. "You better not be lying to me, your nervous system is being monitored, you know."

"Of course! Could I lie to you? I'm not even afraid of dying, why would I fear getting implicated? As long as I can make money, I'd sell anything, even my ass!" San Jiao declared.

"Let's go." Sun Jack walked inside with San Jiao, facing the maze-like streets. As soon as they entered, they received various hostile glances.

But the advanced prosthetics on Sun Jack and San Jiao clearly made some people keep their hostility only in their brains, without acting on it.

However, it wasn't long before Sun Jack's attention shifted away from them, as he saw something utterly preposterous.
