A massive surveillance screen appeared on Sun Jack's system interface.
The image displayed nothing other than the ruins of Metropolis, situated obliquely above which was the oppressive black mass of the Expeditionary Army.
It was clear that even with a group of security troops expanded by Utopia Security under his command, facing them directly would certainly be futile.
However, when Father Sun Jieke asked him what he planned to do next, Sun Jack openly responded, "I'm going to strike back."
Father Sun Jieke almost thought he had misheard, "What did you say? You want to strike back? Your spacecraft carriers packed with supplies could be shot down the moment they show up, and you still want to strike back? That's your last asset!"
"Of course, I know I'm no match for them now, but why do I have to confront them directly? Couldn't a counterattack be more covert?" Sun Jie began to explain to Father Sun Jieke.
"I don't even have a foothold now, I naturally need to maximize the mobility of guerrilla tactics, unsettling their strategy, or else wouldn't my coming here be in vain?"
As soon as Sun Jack finished speaking, the smoking ruins of Metropolis suddenly bulged, and massive mushroom clouds rose one after another.
The entire sky turned instantly white, as the light gray clouds above completely dispersed, and the immense force of the nuclear bombs completely flattened what was left of Metropolis and also dealt a significant blow to the Expeditionary Army, melting an outer layer of several spacecraft carriers.
This was Sun Jack's contingency; naturally, he wouldn't leave a perfectly intact city for others to occupy, so he had AA plant several high-yield nuclear bombs underground in Metropolis well in advance for an ambush.
As combat units and drones continuously fell, Sun Jack expressed a bit of regret: "It's a bit of a pity. I thought this group would station themselves in Metropolis. I intended to catch them all in one go, but I didn't expect them to be so vigilant."
"It's also possible he scanned it in advance," Tapai interjected. "Maybe he planned to deceive you."
"Enough talk, let's proceed to the next phase." No sooner had Sun Jack spoken than several nuclear missiles, unobstructed by clouds, streaked through the sky at high speed toward the Expeditionary Army.
Although the nuclear bombs were intercepted before they could reach their target, exploding like fireworks in the air without causing any harm to the Expeditionary Army, Sun Jack remained unflustered and methodically continued to harass with other combat units.
"What you're doing is useless; it doesn't have any effect," Father Sun Jieke remarked.
"No, it is useful. Have you forgotten their purpose for coming here? They are here to kill me, to destroy everything I have. By continually harassing them, I'm proving to the outside world that I'm still alive. As long as I'm alive for one more day, their plan has not succeeded."
Then, Sun Jack began recording a video. "Hello, family! It's your Borrow King, Sun Jack! Come take a look, this so-called FFP? It's nothing! I'm standing right here; they can't kill me. What FFP, some monopoly company, they're nothing!"
After recording the video, Sun Jack sent it to Tapai, "Send this to the global internet periodically. If there's censorship online, then have all the Wild Men conduct offline transmission. It's crucial to tell others that I'm not dead yet; at a time like this, the fire must not go out."
"OK, leave the anti-tracking to me," Tapai expertly began to take over the network.
Sun Jack then revealed his goal to Father Sun Jieke, "In a situation where the strength discrepancy is too large, the weaker side, as long as I don't lose, it's a win, and for the stronger side, not winning is losing. I want to prove to others that no matter how big the monopoly corporation is, they aren't gods. They also have things they can't accomplish."
"As long as I'm still alive one more day, the fire here will not be extinguished for a day. I want to tell everyone in the world, if there comes a day when you can't survive the oppression, you shouldn't commit suicide but choose another path instead." Sun Jack clenched his fist.
Soon, the majority of teams capable of connecting to the internet received this command, while those without internet access, or physically disconnected, had their information shared and copied by others. Sun Jack's message was passed down layer by layer.
"Do you need any help from me?" Father Sun Jieke asked. "Although the situation isn't great here, it's a lot better than where you are."
"You guys helping?" Sun Jack pondered for a moment. Though he wanted to speak up, Detroit was on the other side of the Earth, and physically they probably couldn't help much.
After thinking for a while, Sun Jack said, "Can you help me look into FFP's specifics? I'm not talking about what you can find on the internet, I mean the kind you can't find on it. The deeper the better, it seems most cities controlled by FFP are in the northern hemisphere."
"Hmm? Oh," Father Sun Jieke silently nodded.
"Maybe we can think of a countermeasure from inside them. It would be best if we knew information about their rivals as well."
Though they had evacuated Metropolis and were temporarily safe, this was clearly not a long-term solution. Facing such an enormous enemy like FFP, merely hiding was no chance at all. They still had to figure out how to resolve the crisis.
Under these circumstances, Sun Jack could only try every possible solution.
"Alright, I'll help you, but I have one condition,"
Upon hearing this, Sun Jack was momentarily stunned, almost thinking he had misheard. His own clone setting conditions?
"We are both Sun Jack, what is there to set conditions about? After the consciousness merge, what's mine is yours, isn't it?"
Hearing this, Father Sun Jieke's brows gradually furrowed, and he firmly shook his head slowly.
"The condition I mentioned is exactly that. I know you've mastered this technology, but... but I don't want to be merged. I... I have someone I care about," he said, pulling AA closer to him.
Seeing this, Sun Jack's expression gradually became colder. "Have you forgotten how many people have died because of you? Do you think your personal matters are more important than our official business? Do you even have the right to talk about this?!"
"I haven't forgotten!" Father Sun Jieke's expression also grew stern, and he gripped AA tighter.
"I could give up everything, including my life! But—" he abruptly stopped.
He looked down at AA, who had stood by his side through thick and thin; his eyes were filled with tenderness. "Do you know why AA changed their orientation? I can only tell you that people change."
