Chapter 453 - Chapter 464 Military Preparedness

"You shouldn't die just because you have no money," these words warmed Justin's heart. He immediately squatted down in excitement and quickly commanded the medical robots to start treating the child.

Watching the medical robot swiftly suture the wound, and seeing the child's vital signs gradually stabilize, his heart settled down as well.

Soon, all the remaining people were saved too. Although they received bills from Weike Medical, they still expressed their gratitude to Justin and his team.

After all, compared to owing money, their lives were obviously more important. Moreover, this debt had no specified repayment period and no interest.

"These poor bastards will definitely not pay back the money. What is Borrow King thinking? Isn't this squeezing our medical industry's profits?" the captain complained as he picked his nose.

"Don't say that, captain. Who knows? This kind of situation might fall upon us one day," Justin remarked.

The captain thought about it and nodded, "You're right. Anyway, it's our boss's money that's being lost. I heard our new boss is damn near going crazy."

Upon hearing this, someone chimed in, "Have you guys heard? Our new BOSS seems to know Borrow King."

"More than just know each other. I also heard that Borrow King had a thing with her."

"Really? No wonder even though she's so angry, she still didn't refuse Borrow King's order."

Amid the crew's gossip, Justin boarded the Hover Car, ready to head back.

Through the glass, he saw the child he had saved, who was smiling and waving at him.

Justin, upon seeing this scene, thought for a moment and also took off his medical gloves. He gently waved back until the child was no longer in sight before stopping.

Turning around, he looked down at his clothes. It suddenly dawned on him that he was, in fact, a doctor.

He slowly looked up at the sensor light on the car ceiling and smiled silently, "Bro, do you see this? If you were shot right now, you wouldn't have died."

However, as the Hover Car was rushing back to Weike Medical, all the bizarre neon lights of Metropolis were suddenly turned off, and everything outside the car instantly became pitch black.

"What's happening?!" Everyone suddenly became a bit panicky.

"Woo~ Woo~~~" Along with the air raid alert, the neon lights came back on. All of them had been changed to display a Chinese first-level combat status, looping continuously.

After a while, Sun Jack's voice resounded in every person's ear in Metropolis. "Everyone, I am Sun Jack,

and I am the leader of the Rat Alliance Battle Line. Once, my comrade Hilda said to me,"

"She believed that people shouldn't be imprisoned by capital. People should sing and dance; they should write poetry and read it; they should have the courage and the opportunity to make mistakes, get hurt, and grow again; they should see a colorful world and have adventures! Instead of a corporate life where you can see the end at a glance, living a lifetime as if bred like animals!"

"Although they have all died, I am still alive! With everyone's help! We have overthrown the Holy Grail; we made it! We no longer need to mortgage our livers for a bowl of noodles! We no longer need to cut out our wombs for a job! We finally qualify to have the kindness that only wealthy people could afford!"

"But there are people who don't want us to live like humans; they think we don't deserve it! They want to destroy the world we have just gained! Do you agree?"

"No!" Justin, overwhelmed with emotion, stared at the idol on the system interface.

Subsequently, the screens showed production line footage transmitted by Black Shadow. "They are FFP! Our enemies! They want to take away everything we have! We've finally escaped from the oppression of the Holy Grail, and we absolutely won't allow another Holy Grail to arise!"

"For our future, so that we don't go back to the past! I'll gather everyone's strength to get through this difficulty once more! I declare that Metropolis is officially entering war readiness!!"

Sun Jack's words were effective; when people had the choice, none wanted to be ghosts. With something for comparison, no one wanted to go back to the past.

Soon, the entire Metropolis swung into action, all resources began to serve the war, and most people had no complaints. Naturally, some people's interests were harmed, but for some reason, facing Sun Jack, they all showed remarkable understanding and expressed their willingness to cooperate 200%.

The remaining four Spacecraft Carriers of Metropolis all took to the skies, along with AA's carrier, opening their bay doors and tractor beams to hoist the neatly arranged Combat Machinery from the ground into their interiors.

Sun Jack stood by the window, looking outside through the transparent glass, while Tapi stood beside him, reporting on the progress.

"Utopia Security has begun expanding its forces. Everyone is undergoing DNA transformation, and they are fitting Combat Prosthetics. In addition, the production lines of Metropolis's automated combat units are operating at full capacity."

"Moreover, with forces from companies like BCDP, that's about all the military hardware Metropolis can muster right now."

Listening to Tapai's report, Sun Jack's fingers kept tapping on the table. "According to the previous war readiness data from Emola, we are not at an advantage, especially since Metropolis has just gone through a major battle."

"How about the output from the Breeding Factory?" Sun Jack continued to ask.

"They're producing at full capacity, with about a thousand Sun Jack clones each day."

As Tapi continued, various 3D images of military equipment appeared on Sun Jack's system interface.

"Have the resistance organizations in Emola made contact?"

"I sent someone. They took the underground routes and have made contact. Currently, Emola has fifteen districts, and they're holed up in District 13, holding out. Hearing that we will come to help has greatly boosted their morale."

"They are very willing to collaborate with us from inside and out when the time comes to confront the Holy Grail People of Emola."

"Make sure they spread my past messages to the lower ranks of Emola. We are at a military disadvantage; if we want to win, we must incite the masses oppressed by the Holy Grail People."

"No problem, I'll prepare right away." Tapi left, and Sun Jack was alone in his office, pondering over various problems and contingency plans that might arise.

The difficult part was about to begin; everything was hardest at the start. If he could take down Emola, with the resources of two cities at his disposal, the rest would be simple.

Heavy footsteps sounded, and Sun Jack looked up to see the Priest walking towards him with a Bible in hand.

"What you're doing will turn Metropolis into a large-scale military-industrial complex, where everything will serve the war. You're moving further away from the utopia you promised."

"What? You don't agree?" Sun Jack frowned.

However, this time the Priest shook his head. "No, I agree. Since I've agreed to your centralization of power, I won't oppose this. Under the current circumstances, there's no better solution. Leave ideological matters to me. My children and I will do everything we can to help you. We will tell everyone why they are fighting, to spread your once-ideal."

"But I just hope that once you resolve everything, you will create the utopia you once promised, instead of being swayed by the increasingly large and powerful interest groups around you."

"I remember, it's etched in me, I will never forget!"
