"You think you can threaten FFP Group with this?" Upon hearing Sun Jack's counterthreat, the voice of & carried a tinge of anger.
"Actually, I damn well can!!" Having said that, Sun Jack pulled Old Six over and started shouting into the studio's live broadcasting room.
"Everyone, watch closely! If I die next, please remember FFP killed me! I don't need any of you to risk your lives to avenge me! I just hope everyone will stop buying any product made by FFP!"
"Remember! Be sure to check the parent company of the products! After you boycott them, they might try to sell secretly under different names! Maybe the things you're eating now, the things you're wearing, are all from FFP! You must be vigilant!"
"Sun Jack! What are you doing!" &, who had been very calm all along, suddenly lost his composure upon hearing this.
He wasn't afraid of a failed negotiation; he wasn't afraid of a failed military operation, but he was really scared of a drop in FFP's sales. Even more, he feared the company pinning the blame of declining sales on him, the negotiator.
However, it wasn't enough for Sun Jack; he continued to leverage his influence, placing another bet in front of the live audience.
"Folks!! Competitors of FFP! What are you waiting for! Such a great opportunity to seize the market share left vacant by FFP due to public opinion! FFP's capital spreads across the globe, forcefully taking your interests! Are you content with that?"
"Sun! Jack!!" Accompanied by &'s roar, a swarm of Nanoworms dove down.
Sun Jack, fearless, pulled out the Micro Nuclear Bomb from his bosom and tossed it down.
The shockwave and heat wave stripped Sun Jack of his Bionic Skin, but he still did not bow his head.
"Come on! Kill me! If you have the guts, kill me! I, Sun Jack, keep my word. This time, I will not overlap Clone Consciousness!"
With the sound of the explosion, it was as if a call to charge had been sounded; the Metropolis troops followed Sun Jack and countercharged against the distant military forces.
The battle had finally escalated. Explosions thundered continuously.
But in the end, & still didn't dare kill Sun Jack. The fear of killing him was precisely why they had come up with the fake Sun Jack scheme before.
If FFP were to kill Sun Jack in front of the whole world, he would truly become the global symbol of the Revolution, while FFP Group would be utterly cast as the villain in a TV drama.
No matter what other capitals would do, FFP Group was likely the first to be targeted.
But if they were defeated by the hastily assembled company troops of Metropolis, the damage to the FFP brand would be even greater. Stuck in a situation where they could neither advance nor retreat, & was in great discomfort.
After much thought, he resorted to stalling, dragging it out for three days. When the heat had died down somewhat, they fought a muddled battle with the Metropolis military led by Sun Jack, neither winning nor losing, and then withdrew their troops.
As for what to do next, it wasn't finding another way to deal with Sun Jack, but trying their best to shift the blame of this incident onto someone else.
Sun Jack, watching the departing FFP troops from afar, cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted toward them, "Tell your damn chairman Lan Meng!! We've got unfinished business. This isn't over! Not over!!"
When he saw them completely disappear into the distant rain curtain, he who was hovering in mid-air turned around to look at all those who followed him, at Linda Linda, at AA, and at Tapai, and also at those clone versions of himself.
"We won, we won again!!
```
When Sun Jack's voice echoed in everyone's ears, everyone suddenly cheered loudly, their excitement lighting up the neon of Metropolis, which flickered incessantly as if applauding Sun Jack.
Linda Linda, watching from the ground, quickly tapped into the company's internal channel. "Quick! The propaganda department needs to keep up, leverage the boss's image this time to boost Metropolis's cohesion as much as possible!"
Abu wasn't idle either, swiftly hopping off a fleeing hover car to contact Old Six, "Get your anchors to work with me, and with all the external public relations teams, to create a global narrative! Further boost Sun Jack's fame!"
"Fuck? FOX? Does it have to be like this?"
"It has to be like this! Hurry up, if we don't use it, others will! And then, even if we win, they'll twist it to look like we lost!"
"Ok! Watch this! You'll see the power of your goods-carrying anchor!" While others were celebrating and cheering, Old Six started fighting on his own battlefield.
That night, the liquor in Metropolis was nearly sold out, and the whole city shouted loudly, celebrating their victory, Metropolis's own victory. During this period, many fence-sitters also flocked to Sun Jack's side.
Sun Jack didn't know how he got drunk. He just remembered people pouring drinks into his mouth, and himself pouring drinks into his mouth too, trying to relax his nerves that were taut from the life-or-death crisis.
In a daze, Sun Jack heard a voice. "Ah... Boss... my head hurts so much... I'm never drinking again."
"AA, your words are like farts," Sun Jack opened his eyes, looked around, and found himself lying in the lobby of Utopia Security, with other people scattered all over the floor, the entire hall reeking of alcohol and vomit.
With a headache splitting his brain, Sun Jack flung off the coat on his body and was about to sit up, only to realize he wasn't wearing pants.
"What the hell happened last night?" murmured Sun Jack, trying hard to recall. But all he could remember were bits and pieces.
"Damn, I think I slept with a woman last night, but I can't quite remember who it was. Who could it be?"
After thinking for a while and still not remembering, Sun Jack decided to give up. It didn't matter which woman from the company it was; knowing the identity would only make things awkward next time they met.
After all, in Metropolis, sleeping with someone was as simple as eating or drinking water—no big deal. Right now, he didn't have the time to concern himself with this.
"Dude, you awake?" Tapai's voice rang in Sun Jack's ears.
"Yeah, I'm awake. Where are you?" Sun Jack asked.
"Gaofeng's sixth basement level. Come over, the top five hackers of Metropolis are here; we need you to personally verify something about the new network construction of Metropolis."
"Alright, I'm on my way." Sun Jack walked out of the company lobby, once again seeing the gilded Buddha with many people sincerely kneeling beside it.
Just as he was about to take off, a red sedan pulled up to the company entrance. It was Linda Linda. "Boss? Where are you headed? I'll give you a ride."
With someone offering a ride, Sun Jack couldn't be bothered walking in the rain. He simply opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat. "Central Business District, Gaofeng Building."
Linda Linda gave him a glance and floored the accelerator, driving away.
