Sun Jack had known from the beginning that Course 3, the department in charge of the AI Crisis, was by far the strongest in both ability and influence.
Even if this stronghold were not available, they could call in reinforcements from elsewhere. Who knows, they might have even hidden an army in preparation for a Smart Coalition crisis.
Trying to confront an organization of this magnitude head-on was simply suicidal.
Even if he was lucky enough to escape from this heavily guarded area, they would relentlessly pursue him, never stopping until he was dead.
This situation was unlike his with Guan Sanke, where there was a fundamental conflict, a matter of kill or be killed. But with BCPD Course 3, there was no real conflict, as long as he didn't cross their red lines, they wouldn't offend him over trivial matters.
Minutes later, Sun Jack and Tapai arrived in front of a rectangular airtight isolation chamber. The black ceramic material was covered with a fine blue LED mesh, with a translucent dome on top showing fine neural probes that declared its function—memory deletion.
Sun Jack would never let them touch his memory. If they saw what he'd disclosed to the Holy Grail, all his plans would be thrown into disarray.
"Hey, this thing is so outdated, forget it, I'll do the deletion myself. I always feel like you guys would mess something up while deleting my memory."
Next second, with a sharp flick, Sun Jack plugged the three data cables from the back of his neck directly into Tapai's port. He swiftly deleted all Tapai's memories about sensitive issues, and then neatly erased all memories regarding Course 3.
Since he had already achieved his goal, the memories in his brain about Course 3 were useless now, might as well discard them—the origins of the AI crisis had nothing to do with him.
In a daze, Sun Jack closed and opened his eyes; the next time he woke up, he was staring blankly at the soaring Utopia Building, somewhat bemused. The memories of Course 3 had been completely erased, his memory still stuck at the beginning.
"What's going on? Why am I here? What am I supposed to do?" Sun Jack stood there with a vacant look in his eyes.
Devoid of any memories, he wasn't confused for long. When he saw a big 404 on the Holy Grail display, he immediately surmised that something had happened before.
Afterward, when he saw on the company surveillance camera that he and Tapai had boarded Course 3's hover car, even without any memories, he'd already guessed what had happened.
Especially when the Digital Personality explained it to him, everything became crystal clear.
"You planned to leverage the sensitive topic of AI Crisis within Course 3 to get 'Revolution Sun Jack' taken down; it seems you've managed to accomplish that."
"Really?" Sun Jack stood there, astonished, looking at the still unresolved 404.
At that moment, he felt immensely unreal; in his memory, he hadn't done anything, yet suddenly a huge pie had just been thrown into his lap.
'Revolution Sun Jack'has been canceled? Guan Sanke is in trouble too?
But soon, Sun Jack burst into ecstatic joy.
"Damn, that's great!" Sun Jack clenched his fist excitedly. Now Guan Sanke was really in trouble. With the 'Revolution Sun Jack' IP tangled in such sensitive issues, it was doubtful if it could be released at all.
Such a small sacrifice had yielded such a big reward; maybe he should do this a few more times!!
"Happy! Thrilled!" Since finding out he was a character in 'Revolution Sun Jack,' Sun Jack had never felt so delighted.
All sorts of ideas kept popping out of Sun Jack's mind, and he now instantly had many inspirations on how to deal with Guan Sanke; he needed to organize them well.
Having said that, Sun Jack immediately opened the system interface and recorded all the inspirations in his mind.
The more he wrote, the more ideas he had, and the more excited he became.
"Boss, what are you doing? Why aren't you moving?" An AA curiously leaped onto Sun Jack's back, sending an access request to Sun Jack's system through the nervous system.
Sun Jack denied the request and promptly grabbed AA, tossing him high into the air, "Happy! Thrilling!! Let's drink to celebrate!!"
"Really? Really?" As AA landed in Sun Jack's arms, his eyes sparkled with excitement, and other AAs in Exoskeleton Armor rushed over equally thrilled.
"Drink! Drink! Drink!"
"Drink! Drink! I want to drink too!"
"Drink! Drink! Drink!"
"Drink! Drink! Drink!"
As these AAs ran over, Sun Jack felt like he was seeing a flock of seagulls scrambling for fries.
Sun Jack, usually tense, relaxed for once, and when he woke up the next day with a splitting headache, he found the AA lying around in disarray.
"Damn, what are you guys doing, put on your pants! Put on your pants! Japanese! This isn't your home! You're young, show some restraint!" Sun Jack pulled AA, who was entangled with another AA, and forcefully stuffed him into his pants.
When he saw that only AAs and Tapai were left in his spacious living room, and nobody else was around, a hint of melancholy crossed Sun Jack's face, as if things were different from before.
It used to be just about being a mercenary, but now he had actually started a company.
"Psh, still drinking, other people's recreational activities are far beyond your imagination," Tapai, who was charging on the wall, complained.
"Damn, still charging, can't you just order a nuclear reactor? Everything else has been replaced, but why keep the most primitive energy system?"
Sun Jack said irritably, rubbing his headache and leaning on a chair, directly accessed the company's surveillance system to see what his former comrades were doing in the company now.
Accountant Zhao Yi was using AI to do accounting, Hanks was training new mercenaries, Matrix was killing enemies on the front line, Abu was arguing with his clone, and everything seemed normal.
Just as Sun Jack was thinking this, the screen switched to Old Six, who seemed to be cursively scolding Sun Jack?
Sun Jack almost thought he had drunk too much. After shaking his head vigorously and taking a closer look, he realized he was not mistaken. It was indeed a Sun Jack, but not the real one, instead a counterfeit resembling him closely,
"What the hell is this guy doing?" Sun Jack, no longer bothered by his headache, immediately rushed towards Old Six's office.
As he pushed open the door of Old Six's office, he saw about seventy or eighty counterfeit Sun Jacks under Old Six's command, live streaming.
These imitating Sun Jacks, wearing shoddy Mecha, were mimicking his past self and shouting in their live streams.
"Brothers! Lend me all your money!!!"
