Chapter 329 - Chapter 331 Trade

"Cough... cough..." Two filthy arms repeatedly hit Old Six's Golden Prosthesis, but to no avail.

Just when 5E was about to be choked to death by Old Six, with a raise of 5E's right knee, a rusted gun barrel quickly slid down and fired directly into Old Six's abdomen.

Accompanied by the piercing sound of the gunshot, Old Six was suddenly knocked back by the powerful impact and forced to release his grip on the neck.

Clutching his neck, 5E saw Old Six's prosthesis swiftly switch to a machine gun and hurriedly waved his hands, "Don't! I can help you find Jenny's body! I really don't want to hurt you!"

This statement made the rapidly spinning gun barrel in Old Six's hands come to a halt, his face bearing that ever nonchalant expression as he scrutinized his father before him.

After catching his breath, 5E finally came to, "I know... cough... I know you've been whoring all these years, wandering through various brothels, thinking about the day you'd run into mom, wanting to give her body a proper burial."

After finishing, he sized up Old Six's suit with a deposit display screen, his face revealing a trace of emotion, "If one day, you really find your mother, I believe she would be proud of your current achievements, our son has finally become somebody, just like he wished on his seventh birthday."

"You proud of what! What does it have to do with you? Everything I have is the result of my own efforts!"

Old Six directly fired several shots at 5E's left arm, which instantly became riddled with holes, causing him excruciating pain as he quickly dialed down the pain threshold.

As 5E started to close his opened mouth, it was directly pressed against by Old Six's gun barrel, "motherfucker! I don't have time to waste with you, I'm losing hundreds every minute! Answer me! Where's her body?!"

"I'll take you! I'll take you!" Frightened, 5E staggered out, leading Old Six out of the alley.

On the left side of the continuously speeding lanes, the two treaded on the trash-covered ground as they moved forward.

Acid rain fell on the wounds, polluting the flesh as a pained 5E looked back at Old Six and, seeing that he had no intention to hail a cab, resignedly continued to hurry along.

As they walked, he continued, "Kid, you hate me, and I don't blame you, but I really had no choice back then, to take care of you, I had to do it, you know your mother was a wealthy custom-designed succubus, even in death her body could fetch a good price, that money helped us survive the stock crash."

Hearing this, Old Six slapped his chest, his face full of pity as he said, "Oh, thx, motherfucker. You're really... too good! Under your careful care, your kid must be the happiest in Metropolis, right? Definitely not picking garbage to eat outside? Not becoming a thief? Not coming home with a battered face, only to find out our own home is gone?"

"Kid, I had my reasons, I didn't want this, but living in Metropolis is just too hard, I had to do everything I could to make money." 5E said with a deep sigh, his back even more hunched.

"Whatever." Old Six said, his disinterest clear as he put away his gun.

"Kid, these years have been tough on you, but your dad is useless, I really can't help you much, I know you despise me; once Jenny is buried, I'll leave far away, and I definitely won't disturb your life."

"Looking back now, you were still just a little tyke, suddenly you've grown so tall, reaching for Jenny's skirt so cutely back then."

Throughout the journey, 5E rambled on about many past events.

It was as if they were back in that small yet exceptionally warm home. A home where just by shutting the door and lighting a small candle, the warmth of the light could cut them off from everything outside.

Old Six seemed to remember the past, recalling the times when he was still a little shit.

His cynical smile gradually relaxed, revealing the normal face hidden behind the exaggerated expressions.

"We've arrived, this is the place."

As 5E spoke, Old Six's expression hardened again. He looked around and realized they had reached the edge of the Tarton Industrial Area.

In front of him was a small factory with grey-painted exterior walls.

5E's destination wasn't inside the factory but next to some stacked containers in the factory yard.

As he knocked on the edge of a container, a sliver of a door opened and a heavily tattooed brawny man peered out. "Who is it?"

"It's me," 5E said ingratiatingly.

The brawny man looked Old Six over and said indifferently, "Entrance fee is 1000!"

5E smiled at Old Six, "Sorry, my kid, I'm broke right now. Can you cover it first?"

Old Six swore furiously, "FUCK! Where am I supposed to get the money? You wait till we get to the door to tell me this? Come on, I need to get some money!"

"Alright, better bring more if you want to retrieve Jenny; it might cost extra," 5E quickly followed him.

This time Old Six didn't walk but directly loaned for a Hover Car service.

The Hover Car flew across the neon-lit Metropolis and stopped in Puxi District twenty minutes later.

He led 5E into a basement; as soon as they entered, the smell of blood hit them.

Seeing the unfriendly gang members ahead, 5E unconsciously moved closer to his son. "Do you know them? They don't look easy to mess with."

Old Six ignored him, grabbed him by the shoulder, and shoved him forward forcefully; 5E staggered and fell to the ground. "Mad dog, how much is this old man worth?"

"Ha, pus? Long time no see, heard you became a corporate dog?" A scarred woman walked over, her chest loosely covered with a simple cloth, under which three Nai Zi swung casually.

At this moment, 5E looked at Old Six with a shocked expression, "You... you're selling me?"

Old Six squatted down on one knee, grinning at him, "Since you know I like to indulge, did you really think I wouldn't know about a new brothel opening up in the Tarton Industrial Area? The place you took me before wasn't a brothel; it was a casino! Your gambling addiction is hopeless!"

"Motherfucker, you're still so stupid and nasty."

"Son, I'm your father! How could I possibly deceive you?" 5E struggled to stand up but touched a pool of blood instead.

Old Six cocked his head, looking at him with a cheeky grin. "This is what you taught me, money is more important than anything, everything is for sale if the price is right!"

After he finished, he slowly leaned in close to the other's ear, whispering in a very low voice, "By the way... when you were taking out Mother's innards, I wasn't asleep. I heard her voice; she was still alive then!"
