Previously, Sun Jack had been wondering what kind of person Hilda, the one who had caused such intense emotional fluctuation in him, really was.
He had considered the possibility that Hilda was a woman, maybe someone with whom he had an emotional entanglement; considering the customs in Metropolis, he had even entertained the idea that Hilda might be a man.
But Sun Jack could never have imagined that the other party would turn out to be a seven-meter-long cybernetic giant mermaid.
"So... why was I so emotionally attached to her in the past? What exactly happened between us?"
Just then, the sonar on the submarine controlled by Sun Jack suddenly detected movement—it was something fast, a fleeting blur.
"What?! There's a living creature in this water?" This shocking discovery made Sun Jack, who was on shore, stand up abruptly.
"Could it be... Hilda still lives here?"
