Chapter 457 - Chapter 468 Weapons

Sun Jack's perception was extremely acute, and before the other's hand even touched his own, he had already detected it and turned his head to look.

If it weren't for the excitement and curiosity in the other's eyes, he would have already killed this guy. He wasn't a woman, so what was there to touch?

The nun, stared at by Sun Jack, slowly withdrew her hand with an awkward smile and swiftly changed the subject. "Think Tank? A group of advisors?"

"Pretty much, set up before I came. It's got some professionals, all tasked with providing me with strategic advice."

"Really? Can I join it then?" The other party couldn't help but reach out again, and when she grabbed Sun Jack's hand, she began trembling with excitement.

Sun Jack yanked his hand away, his expression suddenly became stern, "Get your shit together! You got spare time for other things?! Do you fucking think this is a game?!"

Za Fit was startled by Sun Jack's voice, her face adorned with glow-in-the-dark tattoos flushed with embarrassment, and she quickly left with an apologetic look.

She had barely left when a person with a glowing red body and LED-lit horns on their head approached, "Mister Sun, I owe you an apology. Fit has always been a fan of yours, hence her unrestrained excitement upon meeting you."

At the prospect of encountering such a thing, Sun Jack was speechless. "Forget it, I don't need fans, nor do I give a fuck about them."

Sensing the awkwardness in the air, Tapai walked over and casually put his hand on the 'devil's' shoulder, "Dude, what cult are you in? What's with that getup?"

"I'm from Satan's Church," the other proudly claimed, patting his chest. "A worshipper of Lucifer."

"What the hell? So you're part of a cult, huh? What the fuck did the Holy Grail Person do to commit such atrocities? Even you cultists are leading a revolution?"

"There's no good or evil in religion. There aren't many people with faith these days; as long as there's religion, it's family."

After some idle chit-chat, Tapai sent the 'devil' on his way before coming over to Sun Jack, "Don't be so hot-tempered, they're on our side. Don't make things too stiff."

"I'm not angry, I just think these people aren't taking things seriously enough. Even now, they're thinking about what's in their pants." Sun Jack spoke while transferring data.

"Come on, you've lived in Metropolis for so long, haven't you gotten used to it? That's just how they are," Tapai said, looping his arm around Sun Jack's neck.

"Still, it looks good. According to the current situation, we have at least an 82% chance of successfully taking over Emola."

"Don't get complacent, under these circumstances, we can't afford to underestimate the enemy. Lend me the network," said Sun Jack, pulling out a data cable from Tapai and plugging it directly into his own port.

"But on second thought, are you sure the Think Tank doesn't need one of our own to keep an eye on it? Do you need me to watch them? It might be risky with outsiders."

Hearing Tapai's words, Sun Jack first looked puzzled, then slowly shook his head, "No need, I've prepared a few brain-enhanced Sun Jack clones to stay in there."

"Alright then, I'll go do my thing," said Tapai before he turned and left.

However, as Sun Jack watched Tapai's mechanical silhouette retreat, his eyes grew cold, "Something's off! This Tapai is problematic! He should have known about this!"

Sun Jack immediately contacted the Digital Personality, "Monitor all of Tapai's data flows at once! Don't accept anything he transmits!"

"What's the matter?" the Digital Personality asked.

"There's a deviation in his memory! Either the Tapai next to me is a fake, or he's been controlled by someone else!"

At that moment, Sun Jack couldn't care less about the data transfer and quickly sent a message to Metropolis. Tapai was his right-hand man, key among keys. If something went wrong with him, things could go seriously awry.

But he didn't want to startle anyone, so he began to focus his attention on others, meticulously checking for any changes in their details.

Upon close inspection, he indeed found an issue. Steelheart's personality had changed, he was actually carrying things for others under persuasion?! That wasn't Steelheart's character!

"Steelheart's off too!" Sun Jack quickly alerted the Digital Personality, "Something is wrong, cancel the Scout mission immediately! I'm overlapping consciousness with Metropolis's clone right now!"

"Are you sure you're not mistaken?" the Digital Personality questioned.

"Of course I'm sure! Although I don't know how they did it, new issues are cropping up around me!"

"Jack, wait a moment, don't transfer yet. Since you've noticed something, figure out what's actually going on first," it said.

After Sun Jack's pupils narrowed, he finally nodded and cut off the Digital Personality's communication. The Digital Personality never called him 'Jack'! Something was wrong with this Digital Personality too!

Without further hesitation, Sun Jack decided to avoid a potential enemy trap by transmitting his consciousness back to Metropolis; safety first under current circumstances!

The next moment he was back, arriving in the lobby of Utopia Security. Everything around seemed normal, but upon close inspection, Sun Jack clearly spotted a problem. Two AAs were walking by hand in hand, apparently in happy conversation.

But Sun Jack stared intently at their fingers. AA's fingers changed from five to six and then shrunk back to four. When he watched for a second more, their fingers quickly returned to normal.

"No... nothing is right here!"

After Sun Jack didn't feel the discomfort of consciousness overlap, he realized the truth. "It wasn't Tapai with the problem! Nor was it the Digital Personality! The entire world was the problem!!"

Sun Jack began to overlap clones repeatedly. With each overlap, a little more strangeness crept into the environment, and when the point of view switched thrice in one second, everything around him finally started to collapse. The faces of the people around began to melt, the scenery warped as if drawn by deranged AI artistry.

Suddenly, accompanied by a sound like glass shattering, Sun Jack's environment crumbled, and he fell rapidly downward, eventually crashing hard onto Jian Tai and his aunt.

Looking at the beautiful twin girls beside him, Sun Jack immediately understood everything, "Fuck! I've fallen into a dream advertisement! They've discovered we're onto them!!"

It turned out that from the very beginning, Emola had already begun using dream weaponry against him!!
