Chapter 455 - Chapter 466 Emola

"I've already hacked their radar and surveillance systems, so you can go out now. I will assist you remotely with the hacker team."

As Tapai began to speak, Sun Jack led an elite squad towards the shield machine's head.

The entire Emola was enveloped by a thick wall, but the shield machine, modified by AA, was powerful enough to drill a hole through this solid wall.

After Sun Jack and the others passed through the thick borehole, the space before them suddenly became vast.

In contrast to Metropolis, there was no perpetual acid rain here, only impenetrable darkness.

An annular dark city appeared before Sun Jack, a grand underground dark city it was.

Not only did Emola have buildings on the ground, but there were also inverted buildings on the left and right sides and the ceiling, clearly showing that technology had altered the gravity here.

"Release the Nanoworms! Scan the terrain! Tapai, help me connect to Emola's network! Contact the local Resistance Army!" As Sun Jack spoke, he approached the 15th district where he had previously arranged a meeting with the Resistance.

"Don't rush me! I'm setting up a new network site! Otherwise, if there's a problem, you won't be able to retreat to your clone body in Metropolis!"

"Then hurry up!" said Sun Jack in mimetic camouflage, leading his group towards the bizarre city.

As they drew closer, Sun Jack noticed that the entire city wasn't all dark, but the use of light here was clearly restrained, without the omnipresent advertising light pollution of Metropolis.

The people here seemed to have adapted to life in the darkness, with some form of luminescence on them, such as glow-in-the-dark tattoos, masks, nails, pupils, and tongues.

Moreover, many people had hollow bodies inside which they raised glowing fish or jellyfish.

Obviously, Emola had its own unique aesthetic, one that Sun Jack couldn't understand.

Under Tapai's protection, all the surveillance cameras nearby dipped their heads, allowing Sun Jack and his companions to infiltrate the city without a sound.

"Go, district 15 is at the top! Take the light rail!" Sun Jack leaped onto the departing light rail with a powerful push off the ground.

A pain light rail covered in cartoon characters swiftly spiraled along the track from the ground towards the ceiling. The intense pressure almost made Sun Jack think he was riding a roller coaster.

Fortunately, those who came with him were Lone Wolf Mercenaries, unfazed by such a small scenario. Not a single one of them fell off.

When the light rail reached a zero-gravity point in mid-air, Sun Jack suddenly felt the world flip, the sensation of ascending turned into plummeting, as they quickly descended towards the city below; 15th district had arrived.

However, when Sun Jack saw that the entire 15th district was tranquil, without even the hint of an explosion, he couldn't help but frown.

Just then, Sun Jack saw a swarm of drones with blue lights and quickly led his group to hide in a dim box nearby. He reached out through the newly established network by Tapai and contacted someone with the IP named 4sever. "I've arrived at the 15th district. Where are your people? Why isn't there anyone fighting?"

"Please wait a moment, turn on your coordinate sharing, and we will send someone to pick you up immediately!" The voice from the other end sounded thrilled at Sun Jack's arrival.

As the communication ended, Sun Jack's right prosthetic arm quickly transformed into a cannon. He looked at the others, "Be ready, something isn't right here, be prepared for combat at any moment."

"Don't worry, Boss, we'll risk our lives to break you out when the time comes!" Hanks said decisively.

"I need your protection? I've transferred my consciousness back to the clone already. What you need to think about is how to break yourselves out!" As Sun Jack said this, a refrigerated transport truck drove past the alley.

Accompanied by the beeping of a truck reversing and a burst of white steam, Sun Jack saw a man step out from it. His most distinctive feature was a hand grenade in place of his nose amid his glow-in-the-dark tattoos.

The man, seeing Sun Jack and the others deactivate their Mimetic Camouflage, instantly brightened and waved at them, "Quick! Get in! I'll take you to meet all the masters!"

"No need, just lead the way! And make it quick!" Sun Jack didn't get in the truck, especially under these unclear circumstances of friend and foe.

"Alright then, keep up!" With that, Sun Jack and the others followed behind the cold chain truck, heading eastward.

As they continued to progress, the surveillance cameras became increasingly numerous, and patrols of mechanical units were relentless. The cold chain truck itself underwent several checks.

Sun Jack even saw on the roadside several charred corpses handcuffed to tires, as well as the damaged buildings behind them, lending an increasingly somber tone to the atmosphere.

Under this oppressive atmosphere, Sun Jack finally reached his destination.

It was a meat processing plant, where enormous meat worms writhed in the feeding tanks, feasting on various kinds of waste. In the underground freezer warehouse of this food processing plant, Sun Jack saw the Emola Resistance Army once again.

However, upon seeing the dress of the excited people approaching him, Sun Jack was utterly astonished.

Not because of the fluorescent lights on their bodies or the glow-in-the-dark tattoos on their faces, but because of their identities. Some were Taoists, some were Priests, some were Imams, and even some were from various other hodgepodge beliefs.

"Mr. Jack, you've finally arrived!" An ecstatic monk, with a transparent scalp and exposed brain, rushed over and gave Sun Jack a big hug!

Seeing that Sun Jack hadn't reacted, the monk quickly began to explain, "I'm 4sever! I was the one who contacted Ms. Tapai before!"

"Hold on, wait a minute, can you tell me what exactly is going on here?" Sun Jack pointed at the people around him.

Following 4sever's story, Sun Jack finally understood why these religious figures appeared before him.

It turned out that in Emola, seeing the people in fear and under oppression, the Priests, Taoist Priests, and Imams couldn't stand it any longer and started a Revolution, bringing their followers with them under their own call.

Moreover, as religious groups with strong cohesion, they had a dual BUFF. So, in Emola, a major part of the Resistance Army was comprised mostly of religious figures.

"However, Borrow King, the situation is still not optimistic. We have an absolute disadvantage in strength and are forced into underground activities out of desperation," the monk added.

"So that's how it is. I wondered what was going on. After being here for so long, not even a single atom bomb has gone off. But don't worry," Sun Jack replied.

Sun Jack was about to say something else, but the more he looked at the monk in front of him, the more he resembled the Buddha that had appeared in his mind before.

"Wait a minute, haven't you been advertising in people's dreams?!"
