Chapter 451 - Chapter 462: Join

Sun Jack's right hand, which was preparing to pinch the cigarette by his mouth, stopped abruptly, even as the cigarette ash began to scorch his skin. He didn't pull back his arm, but instead stared in shock at the unfamiliar Poet in front of him.

This poem was actually created by that vulgar-talking Poet from before? Isn't this contrast too stark?

"So you can create decent works, huh? Since you know everything, do you have any misunderstandings about what I'm doing?" Sun Jack pulled the burnt-out cigarette from his mouth and tossed it into the plate in front of him.

"I'm changing Metropolis, I want the entire Metropolis to correct the absurd abstractions in your poetry, although it's just the beginning, but in fact, some effects have already been achieved," Sun Jack said welcomingly, as fleets of BCPD ships soared by, encircling the chaotic gangs.

Soon, the minor disturbance outside the window gradually subsided, everything returning to normal. Now, all city districts had the response speed of the former Central Business District's BCPD.

The Poet shook his head, seemingly disapproving of Sun Jie's methods. "Ah, Jack, do you know why I created vulgar poetry?"

"Why?"

"Because people like that sort of crudeness, the cruder it is, the more they enjoy it. You can't change it, you can't change anyone. It's not wrong; this is just the basic nature of humanity. Humans love to indulge in desires, they love to resolve conflicts with violence, they love to elevate themselves while stepping on others."

"I don't think so," Sun Jack shook his head. "You're wrong. The seven deadly sins described in your poetry aren't inherent to humanity but were designed that way because the Holy Grail intended it to make Metropolis a perfect dumping ground for its products."

"I can make corrections, I can correct everything described in your poetry,"

The Poet shook his head again. "You can't do it."

"I can do it!"

Hearing this, Sun Jack suddenly became furious. The attitude of the other was not only a denial of his efforts but also seemed to render the efforts of the dead Rat Alliance Battle Line worthless.

"Jack, you really can't do it," the Poet said helplessly looking at Sun Jack.

"Then let's try it, if you don't believe me, how about we make a bet? Follow me for a while and help me, I want to see the positive changes in Metropolis myself! How about it? Do you dare to bet?" Sun Jack rose angrily to his feet.

The Poet, upon hearing Sun Jack say this, suddenly became interested. "Alright, let's bet, then it's settled, it's been a long time since I left Metropolis, this place should have quite a few new inspirations now."

Hearing the other respond this way, the anger on Sun Jack's face immediately vanished, and he sat back down on the chair. "Done, I finally got this guy on board."

Indeed, Sun Jack had been pulling the Poet around for such a long time to make the Poet stay and help him.

Having finally met someone talented who held a grudge against the FFP, how could he easily let go?

"Do you want me to keep an eye on this nut? This guy seems pretty unstable," Tapai's voice rose in Sun Jack's ear.

"Not necessary, he's got a beef with the FFP too. If someday FFP attacks, I don't believe this guy can just sit still," Sun Jack replied.

After dinner, feeling good, Sun Jack assigned Linda Linda to handle the Poet's reception, mainly to acquaint him with Utopia Security's operations. As for accommodation, Sun Jack didn't need to worry.

The Poet owned a house in the Mid-Hill Rich District, the very place that Sun Jack and Priest Old Six had worked their first job.

Having pulled the Poet on board, Sun Jack then set his mind on Saotome and UO.

Since he couldn't compete with the opponent in terms of production line scales, directly confronting them wouldn't work, so his plan was to unite all the forces he could, establish a foothold, and find a way to survive first.

However, it was clear that contacting Saotome and UO wasn't easy; seemingly to avoid being tracked by the FFP, they showed no signs of response to Sun Jack's search and public notices.

However, before he could find Saotome and UO, the Poet once again appeared before Sun Jack.

"Can you not run around like a ghost all day?" Sun Jack looked at him, speechless. After he left, Sun Jack knew he had to seriously check the surveillance to figure out how he did it.

"I heard you're looking for some help?" The carefree Poet walked backward to Sun Jack's side.

"What? Do you have a recommendation?" Sun Jack skeptically looked at him.

"I got some good news from a guy online that might help you."

"You'd better make sure it's good news before you say anything. I've already got enough bad news here," Sun Jack told the woman in front of him.

"It's good news. Remember that global livestream where you destroyed the Holy Grail?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"My friend told me someone copied you and successfully rebelled. They took over a city from those city Final Producers."

"What did you say?!" Sun Jack suddenly widened his eyes and stood up, grabbing the Poet to reconfirm. "Which city? How come I didn't know?"

Once he confirmed it was true, Sun Jack became uncontrollably excited. Success wasn't just his alone. "In such a screwed-up world, I just knew I couldn't be the only one who couldn't stand it."

In that moment, he was incredibly grateful he had brought the Poet into the fold. Sure enough, none locked up in Prison Number Three were pushovers.

But it made sense. With so many cities worldwide hearing his voice, there were sure to be some successes.

"The city's called Detroit."

"Detroit? Tapai! Get me in touch with that city through the network, as fast as you can!"

When Sun Jack reestablished the connection, three priests in red robes appeared before him. The sight of the sparkling golden Sickle Hammer Cross at their chests made him thrilled.

However, the priests seemed even more excited than Sun Jack, and they were just about to say something when suddenly, the signal cut off.

"Tapai! What's going on?" Sun Jack quickly asked.

"The signal was blocked. It looks like they've prepared a large-scale signal blocking device. The network in the Metropolis and other cities has been completely locked down."

"Damn! These motherfucking FFP bastards! Are they really that scared of my influence?" Sun Jack swore through gritted teeth.

He knew he couldn't delay any longer. If he delayed, the situation would only get worse. It had started with the network, but he believed it wouldn't be long before they wouldn't even let a fly in physically either.

Although the contact was brief, the success of Liberation Theology gave him a new inspiration, a breakthrough!

"What's the name of the city nearest us? Emola, I heard it's an underground city."

"Is there any resistance against capital there?"

"Yes."

"Good! Then let's support them! Let's find a way to bring Emola into our sphere of influence! Expand our influence as quickly as possible. The more they fear something, the more we should do it! Keep this fire burning."

"Since the FFP wants to put out the fire and then free their hands to deal with us, we'll make sure this fire never goes out, but burns on, brighter and stronger than ever."
