Chapter 419 - Chapter 421 Traces

2810 nervously watched the strange and varied group in front of him. Just moments ago, he had found out that this place was the headquarters under construction by Utopia Security.

He had no idea why, when he was just delivering food as usual, he was suddenly abducted here.

And then there was this crowd of people circling around him, whose roles he couldn't quite grasp, though he recognized the Utopia Company logo on their clothes.

While he was not particularly familiar with the others, he did recognize one well-known host, Song Sixpus. The only reason he knew him was because of the incident when that guy and another host had a contest to see who could survive longest on eating excrement. However, Song Sixpus didn't play fair and secretly added chocolate to the excrement, getting himself disqualified for cheating.

He had heard that back when this guy was a mercenary under Borrow King, he was Borrow King's broker.

Just as he was about to ask the well-known host what was going on, he heard a woman start to speak.

"Don't worry, we've brought you here just to ask you a few questions. Once we get the answers, you'll be free to go. We'll pay double for any lost work time." Linda Linda gently touched his palm, modulating her voice to calm him down.

2810 gave her a reluctant smile, "Then just ask already, goddammit. I didn't say I wouldn't talk."

"Don't rush, talking is too unreliable now, so we need to switch to a different form of inquiry."

And, as 2810 wondered what that method of inquiry might be, Tapai dragged Xiao Ting into the room.

"Let go of me! You bitch's spawn! I can fucking walk on my own!" Xiao Ting forcefully pushed Tapai away.

Tapai pointed a finger at 2801, "Do me a favor, check his brain. I want to know if his memories about Sun Jack are real, or just another decoy."

"Such a small matter, can't I just send over a meat puppet? Was there really a need for me to come in person? Was it?" Xiao Ting was visibly infuriated.

Despite her rage, Xiao Ting eventually did what was requested of her.

After all, they now controlled the entirety of Metropolis, including the Weike Medical endowed to her by Sun Jack.

With the open sourcing of DNA programming technology, the medical industry was booming with life and opportunities everywhere.

She didn't want to miss out on a great opportunity just because of a minor conflict.

"No, no, no! Wait a second, what are you trying to do?" 2810 looked at Xiao Ting approaching him and couldn't help feeling panicked. It sounded like they intended to inspect his memories. Were they truly just going to look and not alter anything?

Even if it killed him, he would never let anyone meddle with his memories.

"50W, you dog bastard." As soon as Tapai spoke, 2810 beamed, and he promptly opened up all the ports in his system, ingratiatingly saying, "Please, sir, go ahead."

"Tsk, a little money and you so easily betray your soul. Pathetic." Xiao Ting said disdainfully, pulling out a data cable from her wrist and inserting it into his system's neural interface.

As a Brain Master, such a task was trivial for her. Rapidly filtering through the irrelevant memories, Xiao Ting quickly located the segments pertaining to Sun Jack in 2810's mind.

Then, in a hazy vision, she saw a few obese individuals with metal breathing masks on their faces. Aside from that, their bodies were wrapped in clothing, making them look very bizarre.

Taking advantage of the chaos around them, they climbed up and clumsily pulled Sun Jack down from the rebar.

They lifted Sun Jieke onto an old-fashioned hover car and headed toward the suburban area of the city. The footage ended there.

Through data calculation and based on the angle of the hover car, Xiao Ting quickly marked the hover car's trajectory.

"It's all here, take a look. There are no traces of tampering with the brain memory." Xiao Ting said as she sent out the copied footage all at once.

"Is it really Bro? Have you found him?" Old Six stood up in surprise.

"I don't know, I need to go check it out. You guys watch the house," said Tapai, without a word more, he headed straight outside.

"Has this guy changed his personality? He wasn't like this before; he wasn't so serious." Linda Linda asked curiously.

"He only ever showed his fun side in front of Sun Jack," Abu said as he gently lifted his chin, and next to him, Steelheart nodded quickly and followed suit.

But when Steelheart stepped out the door, he found that the entire Utopia Security Combat Machinery unit had already been deployed and was heading in the direction of the drones.

"Fuck! Wait for me, damn it!" Flames erupted from Steelheart's propeller as he chased after them.

"Bro, what's the plan this time? Just go all out to retrieve Sun Jieke's original body?"

"Visual sharing, hurry up and follow that robot, I'll guide you remotely."

"OK!" Steelheart immediately sped up.

Under Tapai's control, a dense swarm of drones buzzed out, using various devices to scan and check along the path.

Some fine traces and the like, after so much time, and being washed by rain, were not easy to find.

However, with the time confirmed and the target identified, as Tapai hacked into all the surveillance cameras along the path, various detailed clues quickly started to pile up.

Under the splicing of various surveillance footage, the direction of the old-fashioned drone became clearer and clearer, leaving the dense center of the Metropolis and quickly heading towards the sparsely-populated suburbs.

Upon entering the suburban area, the number of surveillance cameras dropped sharply, and the footage started getting blurry again. Tapai directly hacked into the neural systems of everyone in the entire suburban area to flip through the footage of that day.

Despite that, the direction of the old-fashioned hover car, simulated through data, began to become vague and abstract, after all, there weren't many people around in the suburbs.

However, in the next second, Tapai suddenly stopped and halted all system intrusions.

Not for any other reason, but because he had found it. The old-fashioned hover car lay quietly tilted at the edge of the wilderness and the suburban area.

As Tapai slowly descended, a big 'F' on the hover car came into view.

With a lift of his hand, "buzz," a dense swarm of drones directly covered the area, quickly searching for any clues around the hover car as the center.

Outside was the high-radiation wilderness concrete forest, and almost no one came here, which meant that apart from the wash of rain, all details and traces had been preserved.

Under the system simulation, several holographically projected bright blue figures, carrying Sun Jieke, quickly switched to another mode of transportation and flew toward the wilderness. Sun Jieke's original body headed into the wilderness.
