2810 nervously watched the strange and varied group in front of him. Just moments ago, he had found out that this place was the headquarters under construction by Utopia Security.
He had no idea why, when he was just delivering food as usual, he was suddenly abducted here.
And then there was this crowd of people circling around him, whose roles he couldn't quite grasp, though he recognized the Utopia Company logo on their clothes.
While he was not particularly familiar with the others, he did recognize one well-known host, Song Sixpus. The only reason he knew him was because of the incident when that guy and another host had a contest to see who could survive longest on eating excrement. However, Song Sixpus didn't play fair and secretly added chocolate to the excrement, getting himself disqualified for cheating.
He had heard that back when this guy was a mercenary under Borrow King, he was Borrow King's broker.
Just as he was about to ask the well-known host what was going on, he heard a woman start to speak.
"Don't worry, we've brought you here just to ask you a few questions. Once we get the answers, you'll be free to go. We'll pay double for any lost work time." Linda Linda gently touched his palm, modulating her voice to calm him down.
2810 gave her a reluctant smile, "Then just ask already, goddammit. I didn't say I wouldn't talk."

And, as 2810 wondered what that method of inquiry might be, Tapai dragged Xiao Ting into the room.

Tapai pointed a finger at 2801, "Do me a favor, check his brain. I want to know if his memories about Sun Jack are real, or just another decoy."
"Such a small matter, can't I just send over a meat puppet? Was there really a need for me to come in person? Was it?" Xiao Ting was visibly infuriated.
Despite her rage, Xiao Ting eventually did what was requested of her.
