Chapter 311 - Chapter 313 Teammates

Witnessing the inhuman scene before his eyes, Sun Jack's blood instantly surged to his brain.

He knew that Gaofeng Technology had always been conducting genetic experiments, and he had seen the results, but he had never imagined the process to be like this.

Hearing is one thing, but seeing is another; at this moment, the hatred in his heart for Gaofeng Technology deepened.

When capital is unchecked, and the profits are sufficient, they will stop at nothing!

Situations like this were not limited to these two, mother and child alone; the entire fourth underground level was like a test ground, with various humans locked in cold glass cages undergoing all sorts of experiments.

The mother, watching her child being skinned, could no longer draw any strength; her body stiffened in place, her eyes streaming with blood and tears.

Meanwhile, the mechanical arm, with indifference, reached for an injector filled with various drugs, aiming it at the woman's arm, attempting to wring out every last bit of potential through medicine.

Sun Jack couldn't stand it anymore; he raised his hand and fired directly at the cold glass, shattering it amidst the explosion, sending shards flying everywhere.

With a "buzz," Sun Jack pulled out his Light Sword, severed the drug-injecting mechanical arms, and swiftly rescued the woman.

"Baby!! Baby!!" Ignoring her own muscles soaked in blood, the woman rushed out and reached her child's side, frantically pounding on the glass.

"Move aside! I've got this!" Sun Jack charged in, lifting his Light Sword and cutting quickly. As the glass melted, he carved out a door and reattached the stripped skin onto the child.

Sun Jack was not just there to save these two; he quickly moved to the next glass chamber, again lifting his Light Sword.

Just as Sun Jack had rescued about seventeen or eighteen people, the security forces from the third level below had already arrived, but these people were enough. Facing their tormentors, these gene-modified test subjects charged with heart-wrenching fury.

Although Gaofeng Technology's security forces were armed to the teeth, these genetically modified subjects were equally formidable foes. In no time, the entire fourth level underground descended into chaos, with gunfire, blood, flesh, and machine parts flying through the air.

Only when Sun Jack had completely rescued everyone from the labs did his rage begin to subside as he took in the chaos before him.

It was then that the elevator doors exploded open, and Steelheart burst in with a group, including Mech Crazy with Sun Jack's personality, and mercenaries like Hank and Matrix Old 3.

"Kid! Share the perspective, damn it! If you don't share, who the hell knows where you are?"

"Steelheart! What's the situation outside?" Sun Jack asked as he plunged into the crowd, killing frantically.

"Ask my brother about that crap, don't fucking ask me!" Steelheart, with both hands, grabbed a Gaofeng Technology security member and, with a roar, tore him in two.

Sun Jack knew that his people were probably no match for Gaofeng Technology's army; they needed to move quickly. "Take the people and follow me down! The reactor is below."

Having said that, he raised his hand again, aimed at the ground and pulled the trigger several times. Accompanied by continuous explosions, the shattered rocks crumbled, revealing the fifth underground level before Sun Jack.

Sun Jack, leading a group of people, quickly rushed towards the fifth level, but some did not leave. All the Mech Crazies stood at the elevator entrance of the fourth underground level, unleashing a barrage of bullets to stop any forces coming from the surface.

The fifth level was extremely cold. It looked like a massive machine room, with various servers and hardware systems laid out in the chilling depths, surrounded by sensor lights that flickered on and off.

There were very few people there. Before Sun Jack could make a move, Steelheart had taken care of them. Two drones flew out from the back of Steelheart's tall figure, mimicking Sun Jack by shooting lasers to cut through the ground.

However, this time was different. The blinding lasers easily sliced through the floor, but were blocked by the thick armor plates below.

"Let me try!" Sun Jack pulled the trigger again, and with the sound of explosions, the force transmitted through the floor numbed everyone's feet, yet not even a shallow pit appeared on the ground.

"No good, the floor has been reinforced. What exactly is down there that needs to be guarded so securely?"

Before Sun Jack could figure out the issue, Tapai's warning rang in his ear, "The first spacecraft carrier is arriving soon. You can try to have the surface troops cause a distraction, but don't expect it to last long."

Upon hearing this, Sun Jack's scalp tingled. Already? But they had only reached the fifth level—the reactor was on the eighth!

As he grew anxious, he immediately thought of solving the problem via the network level. "Tapai! Is there any way to open the elevator to the eighth underground level?"

"Of course not. Let's not even talk about whether I can overpower Gaofeng Technology's hacking division. Those guys, the lower levels are physically isolated and completely offline. How do you expect me to hack in? Can I control it with my thoughts? If I could, would I bother having you as my master?"

"Dammit." Sun Jack knelt on one knee, crouched down, and felt the extremely hard ground beneath, thinking about how to crack the current situation.

But just then, Sun Jack suddenly twisted his neck as a bullet whizzed past his scalp. "Dammit! The shot came from above! Our rearguard is gone!"

No sooner had Sun Jack thought this than the entire fourth underground level collapsed. Reinforced concrete wrapped around heavy experimental equipment plummeted directly towards them.

Amidst the flying dust, Sun Jack and his companions were in a sorry state. Although most of them had undergone body modifications and the falling debris couldn't take their lives, they were firmly trapped and unable to move.

Taking advantage of the chaos, a dense group of mechanical combat units surged down, launching a frenzied attack on them. At the forefront was the strikebearer who had scolded him on the third floor.

The man, carrying a jetpack on his back and wielding a rocket launcher, listened as a woman beside him pointed at Sun Jack and shouted, "Boss! It was him! He even tried to recruit me! Can you see how loyal I am to our company? How awesome Gaofeng Technology is? Can any ordinary company compare to us?"

"Motherfucker!" Sun Jack quickly entered Mimetic Camouflage mode. Before anyone could react, he pulled out the data cable from behind his ear and plugged it directly into the man's ear.

Being mercilessly exploited, and you're still wholeheartedly slaving away for them!"

"What do you know, I... I was born a company man and I'll die a company ghost!"
