Fang Ye said expectantly, "Three days should have been enough for it to get pretty hungry, right? I feel pretty hopeful about tonight."
Lin Ying responded, "If we can't catch anything in these next two days, we'll just have to go back to doing some basic training with them."
They whispered in discussion.
As Fang Ye chatted, he continually rotated the night-vision device, looking at the white heat signatures.
Several collared scops owlets were evenly dispersed on perches around the cage!
One of them, perhaps out of hunger, paced back and forth on a high perch.
Suddenly, Fang Ye saw a white shadow appear beneath, in the small grass hut, his eyes lighting up, "Here it comes, here it comes! A mouse is here!"
The mouse moved very cautiously!
It lingered at the entrance of its burrow, peeking out and surveying its surroundings.
Just as it stepped out, it suddenly heard a melodious bird call and "swish" it quickly ran back into its hole.
