At night, those in pursuit of the others finally arrived at the edge of the small lake and discovered a mess by the lakeshore, looking as if it had been bombed, with pits and holes everywhere.

Even though they knew there were crocodiles in the lake, the animals fleeing couldn't help themselves, and the dopey deer was the first to run to the water's edge to drink.
