By the third week of Terror Animal City's release, the second wave of blockbuster films for the summer holiday golden slot arrived, with long-awaited big pictures such as Monster Hunt, Pancake Man, and The Bloom of Gardenia, which perhaps were trashy films finally hitting the screens.
As the Yangtze River's new waves drive on those ahead, historical succession is inevitable. To make way for the newly released films, all movies from the previous phase significantly reduced their screening frequency and adjusted their showtimes, relinquishing prime slots and peak hours to the newcomers.
Half a week later, Tiny Times 4 was the first to stop showing, followed by Monk Comes Down the Mountain, which ended its run five days afterward.
