Malin, accompanied by Matilda and Rewo, returned home without any incidents; the Elemental Ebb, while causing some inconveniences, seemed to offer more conveniences—there were no different kinds around, and the Spirits were listless too. Opening the door and walking into the living room, Spotty and her children were sprawled in front of the fire, soaking up the warmth, and so was the reserve food, no doubt.
The little ones, upon hearing Malin's footsteps, got up immediately and went to greet their master, while Mrs. Spotty gave Malin a glance before lying down again.
Malin went to the kitchen to start preparing lunch, and also to make food for Spotty's family.
The three little ones followed Malin, then after a while, sat next to Rewo on the sofa in front of the fire to enjoy the warmth.
