The thirty-second floor was empty, charged with an anxious breath. Realizing something was amiss, Lu Bu'er lifted her gaze to survey the surroundings, finding the office was silent, with the majority of elevators having stopped due to the power outage.
Only one elevator was ascending from the second basement floor. For the Sacred High Priestess, fixing the circuit was a matter of a single thought, so time was of the essence, and she needed to be quick.
It was clear that a battle had taken place on this floor; corpses lay strewn about the office. Some had their throats cut by tiny blades of wind, while others were reduced to a charred skull, obviously having been scorched by terrifying high temperatures— a ghastly sight.
"How strange, how did these two end up together?"
Lu Bu'er found it rather absurd.
But just then, a seemingly gentle voice echoed through the building: "Alert, illegal intruder, you have entered private property, you have been locked on..."
It was Eld's voice.
